Flip Flap 3 Bars Card Tutorial with Tya

Hello – Tya here to share with you  a quick tutorial on how to put together the new Flip Flap Cards. Lori came out this week with a bunch of these adorable cards so I thought I would show you really quick how to put it together.

I am using the A2 Flip Flap 3 Bars card (LW SVG Shop) (Silhouette) and the Pinstripes line that Lori designed for Echo Park.  This card would be wonderful for Father’s Day!

To start – open the file in your cutting software. Go ahead and cut the papers out.

Here are the pieces all cut out. The brown piece is the base and the other pieces are for the front and bars of the card.

Once the papers are cut out – go ahead and start folding the card base. First fold the far left side of the card into the center on the fold line.

Next fold the right hand side of the card back towards the left on the folded line.

Finally – Fold the left hand side over once again on the folded line. You can see the bars on this fold.

Now – assemble the remaining pieces to the card front. I added some pattern papers from the 6×6 paper pad and some word strip stickers that fit perfectly on the bars. I also added some enamel dots to the bars as well for some dimension.

This isn’t included in the cut file – but I added a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of cardstock to the inside of the car and decorated this piece with some washi tape and more stickers from the Pinstripes line. Add some twine to the tag and that’s all there is to it!

I just love fun fold cards and I can see myself using these over and over again! They are so fun! So I hope I have inspired you to try one of these out. After you see how easy they are to put together –  I hope you will want to make some of your own! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Bee Happy Tutorial with Guest Designer Lorrie Nunemaker

Hello everyone!

It’s Lorri Nunmaker, and I’m so excited to be a guest on LoriWhitlock.com.  I was a part of the Lori Whitlock design team for a couple of years, and was so excited to be offered a guest blog post.  Lori’s products have always been super inspiring!

Today, I am happy to share with you a tutorial for this “Bee Happy” card.  When I started thinking about what I would like to create for this post, I instantly knew I wanted to use the Lori Whitlock “Fine and Dandy” paper line for Echo Park Paper, which led me to this card.

I created this card in Cricut Design Space, and then cut the card base and elements with my Cricut Explore.  I just love how the papers went with this theme.  Here’s a video tutorial for the card set up in Design Space.  Have a great day!

Star Box Tutorial with Corri

Hi everyone!  Corri here today sharing an assembly tutorial for the new 2 Compartment Star Box.  This fun box is so easy to assemble.

When you cut your box, this is what you’ll end up with.

First, you will form the two compartments of your box.  On the two large red pieces, fold along all the score lines.  Apply glue to one tab at a time and line up with the edge of the star base.  Give your glue a few seconds to dry before forming the points on the star so that the edges don’t slip.

Once your have the two halves formed, apply glue and press them together.   Hold them together for a little bit until the glue holds tight.

Now its time to form the lid.  Glue the two thin, long red pieces together to form a long strip.  Fold along all the score lines.  Match up the edges to make sure the line up to the star shape and then apply glue to one tab at a time and form the edges around the star shape.

Here’s how it looks from the outside.

After you from the lid, you can add the decorative cover piece (larger slit) and the trim pieces to the edge of the lid.

There you have it!  Super easy and so much fun!

Check out all Lori’s new compartment boxes in the SVG Shop.
