Happy Birthday Cards! Tutorial

Hello!  Sue here to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!

For my tutorial today I am making several easy print and cut birthday cards from Lori’s fun birthday card bundles. I want to make them all!

This really is a fun card!!!
Here you can see the front pieced element. I chose to cut an additional bottom layer to the packages in pink to make the  presents pop more and give it a bit more reinforcement so I could add it to the front with an action wobbler .  I used  the Lori Whitlock’s  Life is Beautiful 6×6 paper pad.
The inside piece is a print and cut. Fold it in half with the sentiment inside
This part is a bit tricky. Its a mountain/valley  sort of thing LOL! What I did to make it real easy is to fold the center back the other way and then from the back pinch each section to crease them.
Here you can see how the insert looks when folded and ready to add to the card.

Glue one side of the insert inside, making sure you align those 5 small folds right at the cardbase fold line. Add glue to the second side and close the card onto the glued insert.
All glued and ready to go!
Both cards are part of the Fabulous Birthday Card Bundle.

You can see all the bundles on Lori’s site.

Here are a just few more to check out:

This was a fun one!
I used Lori Whitlock A Slice of Summer papers for the balloons.
I have made several of these cuties. I cut on six/seven different 6×6 papers and cut ALL the balloons out of each color. Then I’m just playing mixy match for each cards.
Glue the balloons on the back of the print and cut and then flip and glue to the card base. It is very pretty to see in person, it has a nice dimension to it!

Bee-utiful Day! Layout

Happy Monday everyone!  I have some fun layouts to share with you today featuring Lori’s Bee Happy Collection,  This collection is just pure joy as are these pictures of me and my besties visiting the Friends set in Denver a couple years ago.  We had the best time.  Oh the memories of that trip!

For the first layout I used this Shaped Bee Card in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette store,  and I just used the top layer to create this little guy and I used 11 Hearts in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette Store, for all the little hearts scattered and stitched on the layout.

And for this next layout with that famous door to Monica’s apartment…I used just the top layer of the Flower Shaped Mother’s Day Card in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette Shop,
Flower shaped mothers day card,  I love it on this page!

5X7 Envelope Box Card Valentine’s Flowers Letters Tutorial

Hi! How is your day?

Today I’m sharing a tutorial for this darling Valentines Flower Card (SVG, Silhouette). I used the Echo Park’s Valentine’s Day Collection designed by Lori.

1.First cut all the pieces.

2. Make all the flowers and adhere them to the leaf piece.

3. Crease the tabs.

4. Layer and adhere the envelope pieces.  Take notice that the hearts lay under the front of piece of the envelope.

5. Adhere the panels to the card base.

6. Adhere the smaller envelopes to the card base.

7. Adhere the sentiment and add the leaf layer into the card.

This is such a fun Valentine’s Day card.  Hope you enjoy it.

File Folder Mini Album

Hello! While browsing Lori’s files the other day I found this file for file folders (SVG, Silhouette) and thought it would make a great little mini album. I used Lori’s Echo Park Valentine’s Day collection and made this cute little album. I added matching ribbon to the book binding hooks P.S. look at the cute beaded dongle that my friend and design team member Cathy made to finish off the little album.

I cut the 3 file folders and then shrunk the  file down and cut it on patterned paper to get my pages. I inked my patterned papers to give it that vintage look.

I decorated the page leaving spaces for photos or journaling.  I also added stickers to the tabs to finish them off as well.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Valentine Rainbow Box Card Tutorial

Hi there friends! Today I am sharing a tutorial for one of the new Valentines box cards. You can find the bundle here. I made the 5×7 Box Card Valentine Rainbow (SVG, Silhouette). This card would be really easy to customize too. The sentiment is a print and cut and could be swapped out for a birthday, new baby, anniversary, or left off completely.

The papers and stickers come from the Valentines Day collection by Echo Park Paper Co. Once I had everything cut out, I inked the edges of the pieces for added depth. I also added some white highlights to my ballons with a white paint pen. I then glued the colored paper on the inside front card for the heart arch. Starting the with the largest arch I glued the rainbow down to the front of the box card body. This box card only has one insert. I glued the ballons first, then the banner, last the flowers. I didn’t cut the flower middles opting instead for some enamel dots.

I folded the tabs into valley folds and added the glue to the back of the right tab. The right tab is lined up with the inside score line of the box card body. I then added glue to the back of the left tab, folded the left side of the box card over on top of the glued tab, then added glue to the tab of the box card and folded the front of the card over.

I added a couple of stickers to the front of the box card from the collection.

This card is so pretty and a fun way to show someone you care. Yay love!
