She created a photo box, golf ball box, and the cutes little gift card holder box you’ve ever seen {all using my box files along with Kerri’s files for embellishments}!!

Don’t forget… there are $50 GIFT CARDS up for grabs and all the entry details are listed on Monday’s post right HERE. TWO WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN FRIDAY!!

Today, the lovely Miss Carolyn King has created our featured project. Who has a teacher on their gift list? I’m sure there’s not a teacher in the world that doesn’t get enough candles or hand lotion. Carolyn is thinking out of the box on this one (no pun intended)… What a creative way to give a gift card to the teacher on your list. I’m sure this is one gift that will be appreciated.

Here’s what Carolyn has to say:

“My last minute gift idea is for the teacher’s on your holiday list. I usually get a book store gift card for my children’s teachers so I started with that and created a gift card holder. I wanted to do a mini cube of paper to go with it but I could not find any white paper cubes so I just created the box and stuck an apple in there 🙂 You get the idea, though!”

Here are the cutting files that Carolyn used:
Apple, alpha background: Educationish (Kerri Bradford
Library Pocket Tag with Gift Card Holder (Lori Whitlock)
Happy Holidays: Christmas Phrases (Lori Whitlock)

Another Beautiful Nativity Idea

This week, the cute ladies over at eighteen25 showed us how to create a beautiful Christmas home decor piece. I thought you might all enjoy seeing this and even possibly making one for your own home.

The TALL NATIVITY and the words are cut out of vinyl with a Silhouette and adhered to a stained board. I think the result is stunning and it seems so simple to create.

For detailed instructions go visit the blog post over at eighteen25.blogspot.com. Thanks eighteen25 for inspiring us all! You ROCK!!

You can purchase the Tall Nativity in SVG and DXF formats HERE.
Or if you have a Silhouette, you can purchase it in the Silhouette Online Store.

Nativity Christmas Ornaments with Silhouette or Cricut

Looking for a simple and beautiful Christmas project idea? I spotted the most amazing Christmas ornament using my NATIVITY CUTTING FILE while blog hopping one day. I contacted Vanessa… who writes the blog (sewcakemake.blogspot.com) and asked if I could highlight her fabulous Nativity Ornament. She was happy to share her idea with all of us. I think these Christmas ornaments are so pretty and they look so easy to make. I may just have to make a few of these for our tree or to give as gifts this year.

Oh… and to make this project just a little easier for you, I created a FREE SVG file for the clear insert ornament (made for 2 5/8″ wide ornaments) that you can download HERE. This file includes a JPG for printing as well as SVG and DXF files for your Silhouette, Cricut Expression, and any other cutting machine that will use these files. I also created a Print and Cut version of the insert WITH the nativity available for purchase HERE. You can get printable acetate HERE. You can get regular (non-printable) acetate HERE (for use with VINYL).

You can purchase the Nativity SVG cutting file HERE

You can purchase the clear insert with the Nativity for Print and Cut HERE

or if you have a Silhouette you can find it at the Silhouette Online Store HERE.

Visit Vanessa’s BLOG for detailed instructions on how to make this ornament. She has a great tutorial.
