Creative Team Member Mendi

Mendi has covered an unfinished wooden jewelry box for her project today. I gotta say, I LOVE IT, and so does my teenage daughter!

Mendi says “For this holiday gift I transformed an inexpensive wood jewelry box that I found for under $5 at my local craft store into a one of a kind keepsake using Lori’s For the Record 2 Documented papers from Echo Park and some of her cutting files.  After painting the piece black, I lined the divided sections and inside the drawer with patterned paper for a splash of color.  As a finishing touch I used white vinyl and Lori’s fabulous flourish shape files to embellish the mirror.”

Absolutely adorable Mendi, Thanks for sharing. Lisa

Guest Designer Kimberly Rae

We have guest designer, Kimberly Rae to share a project with you today.  You can view her blog here and see all of her work. Today we would like to showcase one of her projects, so without further ado, let me give the baton to KimberlyRae…”

Thank you so much for having me! I’m such a fan of your work and love Everything you do.

I made my mom this ‘Mom’s Desktop Birthday Planner’! My Mom is only in her 60′s, works Full-time and has 9 kids, 27 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids! She does a good job at juggling everyone’s birthday’s but with new great grandkids coming up, it was getting harder to remember who on what date…can ya blame her?! haha. When I saw Lori Whitlock’s “Number Mini Album” I knew it would make the Perfect Gift for my Mom!

I also used Lori Whitlock’s “Square Frame” and “5×7 Shadow Box” cutting files to make the stand so that the holder would sit sturdy on her desk and all she has to do is turn to the Day and look to the left to see who’s birthday is in what month. Pretty cool, right? I think I need one of these, too. Do you know someone that you could make one for? Please, enjoy this video I made, to show the planner and all the pages; the stand front and back.
Thank you KimberlyRae for being our guest designer today. Such a fun project. Lisa

Creative Team Member Corri

Corri has used the “4 Cupcakes Box” which is new in the shop today to create this adorable gift. After resizing it to 58% she cut the box and it now fits 4 K-cups perfectly. To decorate the box she left the belly band off and used the mug, snowflake , and scalloped circle, available in the shop. What a cute and fun gift for a loved one. Thanks Corri.
