Circular Pop Up Card Hearts

Today, I’m sharing a fun pop up card.  This circular pop up card hearts file (SVG, Silhouette) can be made with 4 or 5 sections.  I made mine with 4 sections.   You can personalize each heart with patterned paper, hand written notes, pictures, or stamps. I used some stamps and paper on mine.

The You are Loved image is from Lori’s Valentine Dingbat font. (SVG, Silhouette).

A tutorial for the same type of card can be found here. This is such a fun card to make and display!

Have a great day!

Explosion Birdhouse Box

It’s that week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Do you take down your holiday décor? Start organizing? Thinking of projects and goals for the  new year?  I have a fun project today that can be used as a gift or as a place to store some favorite notes or pictures.  The majority of my project was made using the Explosion Box Birdhouse (SVG, Silhouette) along with the insert from the Pocket Explosion Box (SVG, Silhouette).

I needed more flaps for the project, so that is why I add this inner flap.  When adding other pieces to projects, keep in my how the pieces will interact.  Since this inner flap will take up some space, it’s a good idea to slightly resize the bird to be just a little bit smaller.

I can’t wait to fill the little pockets with notes and photos!

Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Table Decor

Hi Everyone!  It’s Ashley today…just a few more days until Thanksgiving in the United States.  I am sharing some quick files to add to your Thanksgiving or Fall table décor.

3D Pumpkin 3

Find this pumpkin in Lori’s SVG shop or at the Silhouette Store.

Lori’s SVG Shop/Silhouette Store

These pumpkins come together so quick. I made 3 sizes.  From left to right I resized the files to 6 inches, 7.5 inches, 11 inches.  I cut the leaves from four different colors of paper.

Are you hosting a Thanksgiving meal this year?  Do you add décor to your tables?  I’m hosting a meal and will have 3 tables.  I think these pumpkins and leaves will add just the right touch for our gathering.

Have a great holiday!

Bobble Head Turkey Card

Happy November.  Do you begin decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving, or do you wait?  I usually wait.  But I wouldn’t mind putting up Christmas early!  But before I do, I wanted to make at least one Thanksgiving project.

I’m sharing a the Bobble Head Turkey card today. You can find it in Lori’s SVG shop and Silhouette store. Lori has a tutorial for Bobble Head Cards here. For the Bobble Head, you need a mini action spring, but if you don’t have the springs, you can attach the head with any adhesive or foam dots.  I decided to use foam dots.

Hope you find a fun project to work on this November!  Have a great day!

3D Halloween Lantern Tutorial

Hi Everyone!  There are some new Halloween lanterns in the shop.  I thought it would be fun to make some for this weekend!

Halloween Project Bundle 2

Halloween Project Bundle 2 (SVGs)

I made the 3D Witch Lantern (SVG, Silhouette )  I’ve put together a tutorial showing how to assemble today.

1. First, cut out all your pieces on your cutting machine.  You can see the pieces below.  I’ve folded them along their score lines.

2.  If you wish to add vellum to the insides of the lantern, do this next. I cut the vellum in 2.5″ x 5″  pieces.  I used adhesive on the top and bottom of the vellum to attach the lantern.

3. Glue the individual pieces into shape by adding glue to the tabs, and folding.  The tabs go on the inside so they are not seen in the final project.

4. Glue all the circle handle pieces together in a stack to make one thick piece.  Thread the stacked circles into the slots in the small square piece.

5. Insert the combined handle pieces into the domed top of the lantern, Secure by gluing the tabs of the handle to the inside sides of the dome piece.

6. For the lantern base, glue 2 opposite sides of the panel with the large hole very close to the edge.  This will allow you to add the slider piece to close the hole.

7. To complete, stack the pieces and glue.  Start with the base, then add the decorative lantern piece, and finally the top with the handle.

8. Place an electric tea light beneath the lantern. And you are ready to display!

I made a second lantern and sized it just a little smaller, so that all the cuts could fit on three pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. You can see both sizes above.  An electric tea light easily fits in both sizes.

Check out all of the lanterns in the shop this week.  This post has photos and links to Lori’s SVG Shop and the Silhouette Store for each of the designs.  Have a great Halloween!
