Evidently you don’t understand that Memorial Day is the day we honor our military dead. How could it be anyone’s favorite holiday? We mourn our dead that day!
Military Mom, I am very sorry if I offended you with my comments. In our family we celebrate our Military, both dead and living, on that day and many of our family that have moved away return home to join in our celebration. We meet together after delivering flowers/flags and share stories and happy memories of family past with those of us present. My kids have been able to learn many great things about my relatives who have served. I never meant to offend or make light of such a day, it is very important to my family. It’s a good thing that we can each celebrate in our own way. I am very sorry if you felt I was making light of this patriotic day.
