Cookie Box 4th of July

Anita here with a festive way to celebrate the 4th of July with cookies.  I used Lori’s SVG file called Cookie Box 4th of July which you can find here in the Lori Whitlock SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I also used a Doily file of hers to line the box.  You can find that file here in Lori’s SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I used a piece of acetate for the window of my box and then also cut a circle the size of my cookie to lay in the box and to  keep the doily and box free from grease.  I also cut some cardstock 2 1/4″ X 2 1/2″ and then glued some twine down the middle of the paper.  I used a thin chopstick to roll the paper into a firecracker shape.

Here’s the box with the doily out of it so you can see how it looks.

Finally, here is a photo of the box with the doily in it.  Have a great day and thank you for looking.

Hugs,

Anita

Christmas Gnome Tags

Hi there friends! Brandie here with an idea for cute Christmas tags. Handmade Christmas tags make a cute addition to any gift and they are quick craft to help get you in the holiday crafting spirit.   I combined the Christmas Gnome Stickers (SVGSilhouette) which are print and cut…and the tag base from Christmas Tag Snowflakes (SVG, Silhouette) to make these fun tags. I also used a few papers and stickers from the A Lumberjack Christmas Collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

Here are some close-ups…

I hope you enjoy this holiday season and get to do a little crafting! Thanks for stopping by!

Print and Cut Valentine Gnomes

Hi Everyone:

  1. Anita here with a fun and cute print and cut Valentine set I made for a dear friend of mine.  I used Lori’s Print & Cut Valentine Gnomes SVG file which you can find here in her SVG store and here in the Silhouette store.  I ungrouped the Valentines and used sticker paper to make the matching stickers which she can use to seal the envelopes.  This set will be a great gift and would be great for classroom Valentine’s as well.  Below you can see the three Valentines that are included in the file and the two different sticker types that I made.  I used Silhouette sticker paper but there are many other brands out there.

That’s it for me today.  Have a great day.

Hugs,

Anita

Custom Tumblers and Tag

For the last couple of years, I have helped make or prepare birthday gifts for the ladies at my church.  Last year I featured a tag from Lori Whitlock. Two years ago, I made a postcard for the gifts. I am so excited about this year’s gift.  We are giving the cutest tumblers personalized with an initial.  I am using a Circle Flourish Monogram for the tumblers, and I am using a sticker from the Birthday Stickers (svg, silhouette) for the the little card tag.

To alter this sticker, I’m going to give you a few tips.  In Cricut Design Space you will first upload and open the Sticker File.  Upload as an image.

Ungroup the stickers. I deleted all the stickers I am not using from the canvas.

Now ungroup again. Select each layer and adjust color as you would like.  I wanted to also have the Happy Birthday to you be different colors.

Now select Happy Birthday and duplicate twice. Select one of the duplicated Happy Birthday, and Contour.

On this one, I am hiding all the words except for Birthday.

Select the other Happy Birthday.  On this one I hid everything except for the flourish at the bottom.

Recolor these Happy Birthday layers by choosing a color that is next to the Line type box.  Now line up all those Happy Birthday words.

Select all your layers, and click Flatten. This will make it the Print and Cut file.  Now you can print and cut on paper or sticker paper.

In Silhouette Studio Software, you will ungroup the stickers, ungroup the Happy Birthday Sticker, then Release Compound Path on the Happy Birthday Words.  Re color as needed, then select and Make Compound Path.

In the Send screen, make sure to select all the sticker parts, and Choose Cut Edge.  Now it’s ready for Print and Cut.

I hope everyone likes the gift this year.  I think they are so fun.

Gifts for my Gnomies

During the holidays, it’s always good to have a few items on hand to use as last minute hostess or thank you gifts.  They always come in handy! Lori has so many little favor bags, you’re sure to find one that fits your needs!  This year I’m making a couple of these little bags…take a peek…

The bag is Lori’s Tuck Flap Favor Box (SVG, Silhouette).  The finished bag is about 4.5 x 3 x 1.75.  It’s sized perfectly to hold some chocolate kisses, or other little candies.  I pieced it together with some papers from Echo Park Paper’s My Favorite Christmas and Little Lumberjack collections.  To complete the bag I added stickers from the Christmas Gnome Stickers (SVG, Silhouette). The little gnome sticker was the perfect decoration and it keeps the bag closed!  This would also make a great teacher or coach gift too!

Have you used any of Lori’s files for you holiday gift giving?  Be sure to post them and tag Lori on Facebook and Instagram!  We love to see your creations!  That’s it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
