5×7 Barn Easel Card Tutorial

Hi there! Today I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the 5×7 Barn Easel Card Patriotic (SVG, Silhouette). This barn card includes several elements, but the assembly is straightforward. Each piece has at least two layers. Start by gluing down the barn stripes, followed by the roof trim. Assemble the door and windows, then attach them to the barn. Center the wreath around the top window and glue the banner to the middle of the barn. Finally, align and attach the small fence along the bottom and right side of the barn.

The card base consists of two pieces. The top piece features two score lines that are folded as mountain folds. The end fold is glued to the back piece, forming the card base. Attach the green grass strip to the front of the card at the open edge. Apply glue only up to the middle score line on the card base, then center the barn over the glued area, aligning it with the bottom of the card. The truck can now be glued to the front of the card aligning it to the bottom and left side of the car.
The sentiment is glued inside the card near the center. Adding foam dots to the back of the sentiment will help keep the card open, though they are optional.

This barn card is darling and makes a festive decor piece for the recipient. Be sure to check out all of the available options in Lori’s shop. Thanks for stopping by today!

3D Flower Bouquet Assembly Tutorial

Hi there crafty friends! Today I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the new 3D Flower Bouquet (SVG, Silhouette). Lori has several options and all of them are so fun and versatile. I have made three already! For this project I used papers from the Our Happy Place paper collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

For this bouquet, I wanted to give the flowers a bit more dimension, so I cut an extra layer for each of the smaller blooms. After cutting everything out, I folded all the score lines into mountain folds. I inked the centers of the flowers as well as the edges of the vase and bow. The internal mechanism is glued end to end to form a circle, with the smaller section glued in on itself to create a sturdy easel leg.

Before gluing the internal mechanism to the back of the vase, fold it into an X shape with the easel leg in the center. Apply glue only to the rectangular part of the mechanism and center it on the inside back of the vase. The vase is held together by four small tabs. Add glue to the tabs and the front rectangle of the mechanism, then align the front of the vase with the back, ensuring all edges match up and the tabs are tucked inside.

The file includes centers for all the blossoms, with each leaf composed of two layers. The front layer holds two blossoms, while the back layer contains three.

Apply glue to the square portion on the back side of the back layer, then slide it into the X mechanism. For the front layer, glue only the square section on the front, then slide it into the X mechanism. The bouquet envelope comes in two pieces. The front piece has three tabs folded into valley folds, with glue applied to the back of each tab. Align this piece with the bottom and sides of the back to create a pocket.

The small card has all the elements layered together on the front. For a little extra embellishment, I fussy cut some butterflies, tucked them into the bouquet, and added a flat-backed brad to the bow.

I’m so happy with how this bouquet turned out and can’t wait to give it away. Next on my list is creating a strawberry bouquet.

Money Roll Gift Bag Tutorial

Hello there! Today I am sharing a tutorial for the Money Roll Gift Bag Birthday file (SVG, Silhouette). For this project I also used the Party Animal collection by Echo Park Paper Co. This little gift idea is perfect for a last-minute gift idea or that hard to shop loved one.

After cutting everything out, I inked the edges of my bag, box, cake, and candles. I glued the decorative panels in place, assembled the cake, and folded all the score lines into mountain folds. Since I used patterned paper for the cake, I couldn’t use the print and cut feature, so I added a few stickers from the collection for the sentiment.

Once the cake was assembled, I glued the back and attached it to the front of the bag. I folded down the bottom tabs and glued each layer to hold it in place. For the money roll box, I glued the smallest tabs and secured each side. The back of the box stays open and will fold shut once the money roll is tucked inside.

The file includes a print-and-cut tab to attach to the end of the money. I used low-tack washi tape to secure the tab and connect the money end to end. Starting from the end without the tab, I rolled up the bills, fed the tab through the slot in the money roll box, and then closed the box. The money roll box fits perfectly into the bag.

This money roll gift set is sure to be a hit with the recipient and will make gifting money exciting as the tab is pulled. Thanks for stopping by today, and happy crafting!
