Panda Kissing Booth Box Card Tutorial

Hello everyone! Marcia here today. I’ve been busy making Valentine cards to send out to my nieces and nephews. This adorable panda bear in a kissing booth caught my eye (SVG, Silhouette).

I love gifting box cards that can be left out on a counter or desk and give a person a reason to smile! Let me show you how I created this card.

  1. Select your pattern papers or cardstock and cut out all pieces.

2. Ink the edges of the papers to add dimension and shading.

3. I used the print and cut feature of my Silhouette Cameo to print “Kissing Booth” and “5¢” before cutting, but I felt that the words didn’t pop enough against the dark papers. I used a black marker to carefully go over the letters. You could also use a marker to add the text when not using print and cut.

4. Assemble the kissing booth card base and box card insert. I added some bakers twine to my banner across the kissing booth. Adhere the insert into the card base so that the panda’s arms are in front of the banner on the front of the card.

This card folds completely flat for mailing measuring 5.25″ x 5.25″. Lori has lots of Valentine card ideas in her shop. Go check them all out and have some fun making your own Valentine cards!

Valentine Gift Box Card

Hello there, I have a cute box card to share with you today called Box Card Valentine Gift (SVG, Silhouette). Lori makes these cards so simple to put together, people really enjoy receiving them and I love making them. I also used two of the Valentine Cute Stickers (SVG, Silhouette) that I print and cut, I just replaced the envelope and added the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment.

Birthday Dog Pop-Up Card

Hello everyone! Marcia here today. I thought I would get a jump start on some of the birthday cards I will need in the coming months. My daughter is turning 30 at the end of the month! I can’t believe it!! Since she is a veterinarian and partial to dogs, so I thought I would make her this Rectangle Pop-Up Dog Birthday Card (SVG, Silhouette).

The card is shown in Lori’s store in bright boy colors, but I wanted my card to be girly. My daughter’s favorite color is pink, so I select a pretty pink pattern paper from the new Lori Whitlock Birthday Girl collection from Echo Park Paper to use for the card panels around the base. I also used die cut ephemera from the same collection for the sentiment on the card front. You can use the print and cut feature to use the Happy Birthday sentiment that comes with the cut file instead if you desire. The balloons were cut with paper from the coordinating Birthday Girl solid color paper pack. I inked the edges for dimension and added highlights with a white gel pen. With a black marker, I even added strings for my balloons.

The back side of this card is just as adorable as the front …

This card folds flat for mailing in a 5.5″ x 6.5″ or bigger envelope. Lori also has a tutorial for her rectangle pop up cards here.  There is a super cute cat version of this card as well. Be sure to check it out in Lori’s store.

Get Well Hippo Box Card

Hello everyone! Marcia here today.  With cold, flu, and Covid season here in full force, chances are you know someone who is sick and could use some cheering up.  I created this adorable Get Well Hippo Box Card (SVG, Silhouette) for my cousin. I made a few modifications, placing the heart on the headboard of the bed and stamping my sentiments instead of using the print and cut feature. Using a black marker, I even added lines to the thermometer.

When the card is closed for mailing it is completely flat.

Sleigh Poinsettia Box Card

Hello everyone!! I just love the new sleigh box cards that Lori came out with recently, not only are they adorable they are super simple to put together. I made the sleigh poinsettia (SVG, Silhouette) one and used paper and a couple of stickers from the lovely The First Noel Collection by Echo Park. The file comes with a Merry Christmas printable sentiment but I used a sentiment sticker from the collection instead.
