Happy August, everyone! Welcome to our August 2023 Creative Team Blog Hop! The creative team has some cute new projects to share with you that will get you excited to craft this month!! Back to school is just around the corner and with that we will hopefully have more crafting time. However, this year back to school will be different because I’m sending my youngest child off to COLLEGE! How did that happen already!! In fact, we will be helping her move into her new apartment in just 12 short days. I’m sure many of you have been through this and you know all the emotions. I’m super excited for her, but at the same time I’m not sure about having an empty nest. Anyone who knows my youngest, Ashlyn, knows that she’s pure joy to be around, so I will miss her presence in our home. All I can say is thank heavens for smart phones so we can talk often. Shaped Card Lemon

Hi there crafty friends! Today I am sharing the Shaped Card Lemon (SVG, Silhouette). I like making cards like this in batches. They are quick and easy to assemble and are great for when I need some craft therapy! Cards like this also come in handy when I need to send a quick note to someone. I pulled out all my summer papers and embellishment. Most of the stickers came from the A Slice of Summer sticker book by Echo Park Paper Co. and a few from the Here Comes the Sun sticker book.

5×7 Card Happy Birthday Words Tutorial

Happy Thursday! Teri here. I’ve been a member of Lori’s team for several years now but I work mostly behind the scenes. Today I’m going to show you how to put the 5×7 Card Happy Birthday Words card together. You can find it here: SVG, Silhouette.

I love this card! It’s so versatile. You can use masculine, feminine, patterned papers or even one color. It’s an amazing card! Let’s get started.

First, I cut out all my pieces.

On the reverse side of the card front and using a thin glue bottle tip, apply glue to the very edges of the first H and the marks.

This is what it should look like.

Next, apply glue to the edges of the A and the marks above it.

Then apply glue to the edges of the other letters. There should be enough room for each letter so that none of the colors should not overlap.
After all the letters have been glued in place, apply glue to the edges and in a couple of spots in the center of the card. Then apply it to your card base.
There you have it! All done and super cute!
