Snow Globe Cards with Cathy

Hi everyone!  Yes, it’s the most wonderful time of year and I have two wonderful cards from Lori Whitlock to share with you.   Lori has 6 new cards that are super fun with a whimsical snow globe design.   So cute and just more fun than your typical A2 card.  I used Lori’s Echo Park The Story Of Christmas collection for both cards.

First up, the adorable A2 Snowglobe Card Reindeer.  Lori has her files color coded, so these cards go together is just minutes and those extra little snowflakes add so much more dimension.

The file comes complete with the reindeer, but I really wanted to use the stickers from The Story of Christmas Collection, so I simply stuck the stickers right over the outline base shape of the reindeer.  So cute and I love how perfect they look with use of the stickers.

Next up, the A2 Snowman Globe Card.  I used the same technique with the snowman sticker…just layered it over the card base where the snowman would go.

Aren’t these just the cutest cards?  I love all the little details that Lori always adds.  The reindeer with the snowy background and the extra snowflakes, so adorable!

Happy Thanksgiving – New Shop Open!!

I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!  This has been an incredibly stressful couple of weeks with the shop needing to be moved. I am ready for a day of relaxing with my family gathered around. Bring it on : )

I have some good news!!!!! I have opened the new shop today and most of the holiday products are ready for purchase. Hi everyone! It’s Tya up on the blog today! Hopefully you all had a wonderful October with all the Halloween festivities and fun that goes along with that! We are officially in November – one of my favorite months! Not only is it my birthday month, but I just love Thanksgiving! What a wonderful time it is to meet with friends and family and take time to reflect on all we are thankful for. I decided for my link up we will focus on giving thanks! Whether that is a festive Thanksgiving project or simply a beautiful thank you card to someone special – you decide!

For my project this month, I decided to add to my Thanksgiving decor and do a charger plate with one of Lori’s beautiful sayings on it. Here is the project-

I used some vinyl for the saying.I used this one- Give Thanks Vinyl

Lori has a few other great sayings in her shop that would be wonderful to use on a charger plate. Check some of them out over on her Shop. I added a few enamel dots from the Story of Fall enamel dot set to the flourish part of the saying for an added pop.

I added a couple of lovely 3 dimensional flowers to my plate. I used this flower and this flower. The Sunflower has a brad from the Story of Fall Collection Decorative Brad set in the middle.To finish off the plate, I added a thin twine rope with some hot glue to the plate.

That’s all there is to it ! This would make a great hostess gift if you are going to someone’s home for dinner, or just do as I did and add it to your own home decor.
