Father’s Day and the Box Card Cabin

Anita here with a fun Father’s Day card for the active/outdoorsy type of dad.  It is called Box Card Cabin (SVG, Silhouette).  I used some of Lori’s Echo Park Paper collections including Let’s Go Anywhere, Here Comes the Sun and Halloween Party.  There were more pieces to put on the front of the card but I decided to just use the one wood grain piece for the front of my house.

As always, the beauty of a box card is that it folds flat for mailing.  Be sure to check out all of Lori’s wonderful SVG’s for Father’s Day.

Hugs,

Anita

Box Card Cherry Carton Tutorial

Hi there friends! Have you seen all the new cherry themed projects in Loris’s store yet? So darling! Let’s make the new Box Card Cherry Carton (SVG, Silhouette-soon to be in the store!).

I used papers from the Down on the Farm Collection by Echo Park Paper Co. Once I had everything cut out, I inked the edge of the cherries, flower, and decorative panels. I then glued the all the panels and cherries in place. The first insert has four cherries, and the second insert has three. The two tabs on the ends of the box pieces are mountain folds and then glued together creating the box.

Now to add the inserts. The tabs are valley folds, and the glue is applied to the outside of the tab (the side that is going against the inside of the box card). I lined up the front of the tabs with the front of the inside of the box and the top of the tabs with the top of the box card.

Before the glue is dry, I fold the box card flat making sure it will fold flat all the way.

I use the same process for the second insert except I line the tabs up to the back of the first insert and the top of the box card.

Lastly, I glued the sentiment and the flower to the front of the card.

Now the card is ready to send! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a cherry good day!

NEW! Cherry SVG Files 25% OFF!

Who loves cherries? I have such fond memories of visiting Utah in my childhood and picking cherries with my family. In fact, I love cherries so much that my husband and I planted two cherry trees in our backyard. Our cherry trees have already bloomed and little green cherries are growing right now. In a few short weeks, they’ll be plump, bright red, and ready to eat. Because cherries are so sweet, I designed a set of cherry themed SVG projects this week. All of these cherry SVG files come individually and in the Cherry Project Bundle. And, the best part is that these files are 25% OFF this week because they are brand NEW. Check them out, they are SO CUTE!….

Be sure to check out each product listing to see a quick 360º video of the projects. Thanks for checking out the NEW FILES and be sure to go grab the cute 3D Camper Father’s Day freebie of the week.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day! Have fun crafting!

Hot Dog and Pop Shaped Cards

Hello friends! Marcia here today. I love shaped cards. They are fun and easy to assemble too. With picnic season upon us I thought these two shaped cards; the No 10 Hot Dog Birthday Card (SVGSilhouette)  and the No 10 Pop Card  (SVGSilhouette) were just what a birthday boy and my Dad needed.

I used various Lori Whitlock solid papers from several different collections to create these cards. The print and cut feature of my Silhouette Cameo works great for printing the sentiments.
This Pop card originally had a birthday sentiment but I thought it would work just as great for Father’s Day. I just substituted my own font and text and then print and cut just as I did for the hot dog card sentiment.

These cut files can be found in Lori’s Store along with many other varieties of shaped cards. Check out the hamburger and french fries shaped cards. The hot dog card will fit in a 5×7 envelope and the Pop card will need a business envelope. Have fun creating!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
~Marcia
