Vroom Mini Album

Happy Monday, friends!  I’m glad to be back on Lori’s blog with a new project for you!  Today I used Lori’s adorable Race Car Box card file (SVG, Silhouette) and the new paper collection she designed for Echo Park called Vroom, to create a new mini album.  I also used one of my Artsy Albums acrylic albums for the perfect size book for gift giving.

How cute are these race cars?  I love how the tires are separate and you can see the pattern paper peeking from behind.  I added enamel dots to the tires for an extra pop of color and shine.

Inside the album I used papers from the 6×6 paper pad and some super cute stickers.  Isn’t that little road sticker fun?  I like how it jogs around the photos.
The 6×6 paper pad comes with a smaller version of the cards that are part of 12×12 sheets, so I used “Be Brave Little One” on the front of this flippie, and one on the front cover (see pic below).

Any little guy or girl who is into cars and racing would love this album, so head over to my blog to see more pictures of this project and learn about the instructions I’ll have have in my shop soon!  Until next time, happy crafting friends!

4×6 Horizontal Tabbed Mini Album Tutorial

Hi friends! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a fun vacation mini album I made with Lori’s cutting file called 4×6 Horizontal Pocket Mini Album Tabbed Pages (SVG, Silhouette). It’s filled with pretty shaped pocket pages and tabbed cards that are perfect for saving your favorite memories. I added pictures of our trip to Hawaii and it made the cutest little keepsake! 🌴🦩🌞

I decorated the album with the Doodlebug Design, Fun in the Sun Collection, but … this file could be made with ANY theme for photos of a holiday, family, friends,
new baby, school, your pet, or
a season. It’s 4×6 inches and has a flap that folds over onto the front cover to keep the pages secure.

Above, you can see there are 6 pocket pages with a tabbed card / photo mat tucked inside each one. Let’s take a quick look inside, then I’ll share the tutorial …

The front of the pockets have a cute cut-out shape and plenty of space for embellishments. And inside, the tabbed card can hold 2 photos (front and back) or be used for journaling.

The back side of the pocket pages are blank so I added more photo mats and cute tropical embellies!

This mini is so fun! I love the interactive pages in this album. To see more photos and all of the pages in this project, visit my blog here.

Now, for the tutorial …

1.  I cut out all of the pieces, including 6 pages, the covers, 6 tabbed photos mats, pattern paper for the pockets and a binding piece.

2.  I adhered the patterns to the front of each pocket, and the covers,  before gluing everything together.

3. To create the pockets, I fold the right and left tabs inward and glued them against the back, leaving the tab on the left free.
4. To assemble the front cover, I adhered the remaining tab on the first pocket just to the left of the score line on the cover piece.  This score line will eventually be the album’s binding.
5. Next I continued to adhered each of the pocket’s tabs to the back of the page in front of it.

6. The pockets created a stack of pages to the left of the spine.  At this point, I also adhered the back cover piece to the tab on the front cover.

7.  To adhere the last pocket to the back cover, I used the binding piece that comes in the cut file to adhere them together.

Once I finished assembling the album, I decorated it and added my photos.

I hope enjoyed this project made with Lori’s 4×6 Horizontal Pocket Mini Album Tabbed Pages File (SVG, Silhouette). It’s not only great for your own photos, but … it also makes a wonderful gift idea. Happy scrapping! 😊

Baby Bottle Mini Album

Hello everyone! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a fun baby bottle shaped mini album that I made using one of Lori’s brand new cutting files called Hidden Binding Mini Album Baby Bottle (SVG, Silhouette). It’s perfect for some favorite photos of your little sweetie, or … can be given it as a cute handmade gift.

You could use ANY paper collection and customize this album for a boy, a girl, or keep it gender neutral. For mine, I cut the base out of solid card stock in bubble blue, white, and lemon yellow. Then, I decorated it with a mix of pattern papers and embellishments from Doodlebug Design.

Just inside the cover, I added a little pocket that’s perfect for photos or … a gift card! I thought this mini album would make an adorable alternative to a greeting card and be a fun way to present a baby shower gift!

The album has 10 scrapbook pages (5 double-sided) and uses Lori’s hidden binding technique to secure the pages. It’s designed with plenty of space in between for layering papers, pop dots, and embellishments.

This would make such a sweet little brag book for mom, grandma, auntie, or an older sibling. What a fun way to share and celebrate your baby’s milestones and memories. I made my album approx. 4×5 inches so it’s the perfect small size.

Lori has designed many of these cute hidden binding shaped albums and I love them all! I’ve made the oven, suitcase, rectangle, apple, house, flower, telephone, and tag shape. So be sure to check those out for more fun project ideas.

Suitcase Mini Album Tutorial

Hi friends! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a cute travel mini album that I made using Lori’s NEW cutting file titled Hidden Binding Mini Album Suitcase. (Silhouette) The fun shape is so versatile and can be made with any paper collection for your vacation needs. Since summer is ahead, I created it with a sunny beach theme.🌞

Suitcase Shaped Travel Mini Scrapook Album for vacation photos

Lori has designed a bunch of these hidden binding shaped albums and I love them! I’ve made the rectangle, apple, house, flower, telephone, and tag shape. Today’s mini is about travel, so the suitcase shape is perfect!

Suitcase Shaped Travel Scrapbook Mini Album with a summer beach theme

For this “fun in the sun” project, I used the Doodlebug Design Seaside Summer Collection. But it would also be great for winter skiing, a visit to the lake, a cabin in the mountains, a road trip, a cruise, or any vacation.

Let’s take a quick look inside, then I’ll explain how I made it.

Suitcase Shaped Travel Scrapbook Mini Album Pages with cute summer and beach images

I decorated each page with 6×6 inch papers, fun die cuts, cute stickers, and a few enamel dots.

Isn’t this cute? Such a colorful little scrapbook. For larger photos and details of each page, visit my blog here.

Now, for the tutorial …

1. First, I cut out the pieces. Since all of the suitcase shape pages are sandwiched using 2 pieces, I needed 10 total … 2 for the front cover, 2 for the back cover, and 6 for the 3 scrapbook pages inside.

2.  Note that the center piece is scored for the binding. The score
lines are a bit hard to see on the brown image 😊.  I folded along each
of the score lines to create “mountains” and “valleys”.

3. Then, I added adhesive inside the “valleys” and stuck the sides together.

4.  Once the binding piece is adhered, it should look like this ^.

5.  And the back side (the spine) will look like this ^.

6. Next, the cutting file comes
with pieces for the pattern paper that goes on top of the white spine,
front and back covers, and suitcase shaped pages. I chose the blue waves print and adhered it to one side only of the exterior pieces.

7.  Once that was done, I adhered the front cover to the front of the first
spine fold. Then, the back cover to the back of the last spine fold. When it’s opened up flat, the
album covers and spine should look like this ^ on the outside.

… and like this ^ on the inside.

8. Next, I adhered pattern paper to ONE SIDE ONLY of the 8 remaining
suitcase shapes. Since these will be stuck back to back to another suitcase page, only one
side will show.

9.  Now it’s time to assemble the album.  I adhered one suitcase page to the inside of the front and back covers. Then, I added one to the front and back of each spine fold … sandwiching them on the
“mountain” and creating
3 double-sided pages (6 individual pages). Including the inside covers, this gives you 8 scrapbook pages in total.

Onesie Mini Album

Hi everyone! Back in February 2024, I got a call about a very special little girl coming home from Thailand. She was born at just 26 weeks, and now—over a year later—she’s finally home in South Dakota for the first time. She needed some help to make the trip, and with lots of effort and phone calls, we made it happen.

Now, that little miracle is home, doing well, and she just turned one at the end of March! I had the joy of meeting her, and she completely stole my heart. I made this mini album just for her.

You can find the file here in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette Online Design Store. I used Lori’s Echo Park Birthday Girl Collection. I had so much fun creating this for this little princess. She truly is a miracle, and I hope her parents know how much she has touched my heart and how much I loved being a part of her journey home.

Happy Birthday!
~Cathy
