Onesie Mini Album

Hi everyone! Back in February 2024, I got a call about a very special little girl coming home from Thailand. She was born at just 26 weeks, and now—over a year later—she’s finally home in South Dakota for the first time. She needed some help to make the trip, and with lots of effort and phone calls, we made it happen.

Now, that little miracle is home, doing well, and she just turned one at the end of March! I had the joy of meeting her, and she completely stole my heart. I made this mini album just for her.

You can find the file here in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette Online Design Store. I used Lori’s Echo Park Birthday Girl Collection. I had so much fun creating this for this little princess. She truly is a miracle, and I hope her parents know how much she has touched my heart and how much I loved being a part of her journey home.

Happy Birthday!

5×5 Bug Book Album

Hi everyone!  I have a fun mini album to share with you created with Lori’s new Echo Park collection, Little Things Mean A Lot.  It’s a fun collection, full of bright colors and lots of attention to detail with fun little critters.  I thought it would be perfect to create a mini for a little guy that I know that will love to catch some bugs for the summer and his mama can add some pictures as they go.

I cut one cover, and then I cut four pieces to cover the inside and the outside of the cover.  Three base pages and then 12 squares to cover those and one spine cover.  You also need some twine or thread along with adhesive.

Here is all my pieces cut…lots and lot.  Then my inside pages put together.  Ink all the edges.  The bottom left corner is your cover pieces and the bottom right is just a bunch or borders of Lori’s that I cut to add to my pages for fun and detail.
Top right you can see the inside of my inside pages, top left is the inside of my cover and the bottom picture is the outside of the cover.
Next, just line up the holes of your three inside pages with the holes on the cover and tie them in with twine or string.  How cute it that spine on the cover!!!??!!

Then you get to just go to town embellishing and creating with the amazing collection.  I had so much fun.  I used enamel dots, ribbon, stickers, buttons and just had the best time creating this.  I know he and his mama will love it.  And how cute is that little bug catcher!?

You can find the album here in Lori’s Store or here in the Silhouette Store.

I hope you will give one of these mini’s a try!

Happy Easter Mini Album Tutorial

Hello everyone! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a Happy Easter Mini Album I made with two of Lori’s fabulous cutting files and the Echo Park, Our Happy Place Collection. It’s filled with spring colors, flowers, and beautiful prints. This little album is perfect for holiday photos and it makes a sweet handmade gift!

Happy Easter Scrapbook Mini Album with a rabbit, a basket, eggs, and flowers

To create this, I used the A2 Easel Card Easter Bunny Basket File (SVG, Silhouette) for the design on the front cover and the Hidden Binding Mini Album Rectangle (SVG, Silhouette) for the actual book.

Here’s the simple tutorial …

1.  I resized the Hidden Binding Mini Album‘s pieces to create a book that would be 4.75″ wide x 7” tall. I chose this size so that I wouldn’t need to resize
the Easter basket file.

2.  Next, I cut out all of the pieces for both files.

3. I assembled the card first. The Basket file comes with a base “grass” background that is shaped to help you know where to layer each of the pieces. I added the pink shape on top of the green base.

4. Then, I layered the yellow basket on next.

5. I adhered the little eggs in place, tucking them in behind the yellow basket.

6. Then, I added the pieces of the bunny’s body.

7. How cute! I used some foam tape underneath the feet and tail to give them some dimension.

8. You can see in this picture that the pink base helps you know exactly where to adhere the flowers.

9. I added some pretty colored enamel dots to the center of the flowers and the bow for a bit of shine.

10. Once the card was assembled, it was time to build the album. Above, are the pages
and the binding piece. The binding piece is scored, so I folded along the
score lines to create “mountains” and “valleys”.

11. I added adhesive inside the “valleys” and adhered the sides together.

The outside of the binding now looked like this. The cutting file includes a separate piece that will be glued
over these folds to create the album’s spine.

12. This is the inside of the binding. To add the pages, I adhered one page piece to the front of the first spine fold and a second one to the back … sandwiching them on the “mountain”.

13. I continued to add the rest of the pages until the book was complete.

14.  To decorate the cover, I adhered the Easter basket piece to the front and added my title.

15. Inside, I embellished the pages with lots of pretty papers, stickers, enamel dots, and photo mats. To see more of the inside pages … hop over to my Artsy Albums blog.

I hope this Happy Easter Mini Album gives you a little holiday and spring inspiration! Whether you love making scrapbooks or greeting cards, you should definitely give these cutting files a try. I love them!

Two Peas in a Pod Album

Hey friends! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a pea pod shaped mini album that I made using one of Lori’s adorable cutting files called Valentine Pun Stickers (SVG, Silhouette).
This file has lots of cute images and sayings
. I chose the two peas in a pod and made the peas removable! What a perfect little scrapbook for photos of best friends, twins, a parent and their “mini me” child, or a sweet couple.

Ha! How cute is this? I love the little peas!! To start, I sized the shape to 14″ wide x 5″ high and cut the front and back covers out of white acrylic. But, you could use white card stock or chipboard instead.

Next, I cut the peas and pod shapes out of green cardstock by Bazzill (guacamole) and Doodlebug Design (limeade and citrus).

I added pink enamel dots to their cheeks and used black card stock for their eyes and smiles. For the title, I chose black Alphabet Soup stickers (Doodlebug) and added red heart puffy stickers on either end.

I wanted the little peas to be removable so, I left space in between the pod’s green papers to tuck them into. You could always add more peas if you’d like and change the title to Three (or Four) Peas in a Pod.

The backside of the peas can be used as a photo mats. Add pictures of mom or dad and their little mini me, best friends who finish each other’s sentences, twins or siblings who share the same looks or mannerisms, a couple, or your sweet pets that can’t live without each other.

Inside the album, I made 4 white card stock pages. To cut these, I had to turn the shape diagonally on the 12×12 inch piece of
paper in order for it to fit.

Here are a couple of pictures of the inside …

I covered each white page in colorful papers and added different shaped photo mats for interest

Then, I had fun embellishing the pages with lots of cute die cuts and stickers. To see ALL of the pages in this mini album, visit my blog at Artsy Albums.

File Folder Mini Album

Hello! While browsing Lori’s files the other day I found this file for file folders (SVG, Silhouette) and thought it would make a great little mini album. I used Lori’s Echo Park Valentine’s Day collection and made this cute little album. I added matching ribbon to the book binding hooks P.S. look at the cute beaded dongle that my friend and design team member Cathy made to finish off the little album.

I cut the 3 file folders and then shrunk the  file down and cut it on patterned paper to get my pages. I inked my patterned papers to give it that vintage look.

I decorated the page leaving spaces for photos or journaling.  I also added stickers to the tabs to finish them off as well.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
