Pumpkin Truck Back Box Card

Hello everyone. Marcia here.

Fall is officially here and I will soon be venturing to our local pumpkin patch with the family for some fun activities. For Fall wishes, The Lori Whitlock’s Pumpkin Truck Back Box Card (SVGSilhouette) is so festive. It reminds me of those trips to the pumpkin patch.

I created my truck from cardstock and added some solid pattern papers from the Echo Park Paper I Love Fall collection. I couldn’t resist adding the little racoon to my truck bed. He was cut from a die cut ephemera piece.

I know this card will put a smile on someone’s face! Best of all it folds flat for mailing. Lori has lots of other fun Fall cards in her shop. Go take a look.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Shadowbox Box Card with Traci

Hello everyone! Traci here and today I’m sharing a tutorial on how to make this spooky little Shadowbox Bat Card (SVG, Silhouette). I created this with one of Lori’s fantastic cutting files and it makes the cutest card for Halloween! What a great way to let someone know you’re thinking of them around the holiday.

Halloween Shadowbox Bat Card Tutorial

To get started, I cut out all of the base pieces first and laid them out on my craft table.

Then I adhered the pattern paper to the base card, making sure to keep the design going the right direction. I learned this the hard way when I glued my hearts upside down. 😊

Next, I added the black bat pieces to the white card stock …

I embellished the bat’s eyes with some sparkly gold gems. Then, I added a cute spider icon sticker (from Doodlebug’s Sweet & Spooky Collection) to the white spider space just below the bat’s wing.

Once all of the pieces were adhered, I slipped the white page tabs into the base card slots and glued the black base on to create a box.

I love how Lori’s box cards can stand alone to be displayed on a shelf, desk, or a counter AND … also fold flat for tucking into envelopes and mailing. So fun!

Here’s the file I used called A2 Shadowbox Card Halloween Bats …

Spider Web Treat Bag

 Hello everyone.

September is just whizzing by and in no time it is going to be Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! I wanted to make some treat bags for the little ones. Lori Whitlock’s Spider Web Treat Bag (SVGSilhouette) would allow me to embellish the bags myself using the Echo Park Paper Halloween Magic collection. They turned out Spooktacular!

I added ribbon and a tag from the die-cut ephemera pack so I could tie the bags shut.

Stickers from the sticker sheet worked well to embellish the bag fronts.
I know these bags will put a smile on someone’s face! Lori has lots of other fun Halloween bags and treat boxes in her shop. Take a look.

Get Well Tissue Wrap Tutorial

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday! Hope you aren’t having a “ruff” day and this “doggone” cute get well card brings a smile to your face.  (SVG, Silhouette)

First thing I did was change the words to write rather than cut then I cut all my pieces and inked the edges for that finished look. Then assembled the “paws-itively” adorble little pup.

Add the heart last so you make sure its in the right spot and don’t have to move it.

Add your words to the red pieces and add the 2 red pieces to the top and front of the tissue hole. Add your score tape to the end flap.
I found this was easier to adhere and get it lined up by laying it flat like the above photo. If you are like me and and had a “faux-paw” while trying to adhere this by eyeballing it and got it crooked, you can heat the back with a blowdryer or heat gun it will losen the adhesive and make it easier to pull apart without ruining the whole card.
Add the pup and the “ruff day” word bubble to the top portion.
Add your tissue (make sure the package of pocket tissue that you buy has the hole in the center and not on an end).

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a “paw-some” day!

Happy Crafting

Hi there and happy almost Fall! I live in the desert southwest and it has been hot, so I am very ready for cooler temps! Today, I am sharing a tutorial for the 3D Small Pumpkin (SVGSilhouette). There is also a larger version of this pumpkin (SVGSilhouette) that comes together in the same way. The smaller size fits nicely in my tiered tray so that is what I went with. I also used papers and embellishments from Lori’s new I Love Fall paper collection by Echo Park Paper.

First, I folded all of the score lines as mountain folds and put a slight curve in the paper for the sides of the pumpkin. I also added a curve to the decorative paper sides. I used liquid glue to secure the decorative panels to the front, back, and sides of the pumpkin. I found working from the center out was the best to get the panels spaced evenly.
There is one inside piece in the file that helps shape the pumpkin. This piece is glued on the inside of all the tabs. You could cut two, but it isn’t necessary, and if you do cut two, add it after the stem is in place. I added glue to the top of the inside piece of the pumpkin (shortest side) and folded the largest tab over and making sure all of the corners meet up and are straight. Once it’s dry and secure, I added glue to one side of the entire edge of the inside piece, started at the bottom, and made sure to line the edges up then proceeded to secure the rest of the tabs to the inside piece. Repeating the process for the other side.
For the steam. There are five decorative panels. One is a square that goes in the middle and the others are polygon shapes that go around the middle making a cross. I added glue to the empty squares and folded the steam making a small box. The tabs on the bottom of the steam are inserted into the top of the pumpkin. There are two short tabs and two more extended tabs. The short tabs are glued down pointing toward the sides of the pumpkin. (so as not to go over the score lines)
Now it is time to secure the front and back of the pumpkin. Like before, I started with the bottom tab and ensured the corners and edges were all lined up. I then added glue to all the tabs, added the decorative panel over, and, did my best to make sure everything was lined up and secure. Flipped the pumpkin over and repeated the process.
The file comes with a couple of pumpkin leaves and a vine. I ended up cutting the stems off of the leaves and securing them to the front of the pumpkin. I also added a few puffy stickers and chipboard from the collection as well as some gold ink splatter.

I love how this little pumpkin turned out. It is a fun little Fall project that makes a darling decor piece for my kitchen tray. Thanks for stopping by today!
