Guest Designer Tamara Tripodi

October is upon us, can you believe it. Time seems to run quicker the older I get. I truly love the fall. In Utah we already have beautiful leaves changing on the mountains. It is a beautiful site, much like this project by our guess designer Tamara of Happy Wife Crafty Wife. I LOVE this project!

The Thankful title is Lori’s “3D Card Thankful” cut from Echo Park’s This and That Christmas, also designed by Lori. I love how she used it not just as a card, but turns it into a home decor project. What a great way to bring the season inside your home. She also cut the summer tree found in the “Camping Icons” set.

Look at the detail she has put into this card by adding the 4 Fall Leaves, Decorative Pumpkins and button to the bottom of this card. Such a great idea.

Thanks Tamara, this is a beautiful project!

New in Shop Today

It is that time of year where the holidays seem to fly past in the blink of an eye. I have to admit, it is one of my favorite times to craft, so I have been loading the shop with all sorts of holiday images you might like. Lori has created some awesome new 3-D cards that fold flat to 4.25×5.5 for mailing and then stand up for display. There are Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themes to choose from. You’ll also find several nativities that will come in handy as you prepare to make Christmas projects. Enjoy your holiday crafting season!

Spooky Snack Bag Holders

Corri is here today sharing this cute cutting file in 3 different ways.  I love how she changed the original to fit other themes. Corri says,

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a great week!
I have a cute project to show you today that is perfect for classroom parties!
Lori Whitlock just released this adorable snack bag holder.  I just love it!  I’m totally making these for every class party from now on!

I echo her statements when she says what a great package for a class party! Im almost sad I no longer have a child in elementary school. She also gave great instructions on how to assemble this package.

Corri says, “I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Halloween Snack Bag holder.   You just fill your baggie full of treats and the line up the two holes on the holder…punch holes and thread your ribbon through.
For the bat holder, I cut everything exactly as sized in the file.  I just added a strip of  pattern paper behind the shaped mat to add some color.  The pattern paper is from Echo Park – For the Record 2 – Tailored (designed by Lori Whitlock).  This paper collection is so versatile.  It has some colors that work for Halloween and some that could work for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
I tied my bag closed with this beautiful chevron twill ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
For the owl, I used this Halloween Owl Spider file .  I mounted him on a square because he fit better than in the shaped mat provided.  I used some orange chevron twill to tie it closed.   The sentiments for both of these are from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

I was having so much fun, I decided to do one more.  I saw this idea on Pinterest and just loved it.”
I love that she took this file and used it 3 ways to create a totally different look.

Thanks Corri, these are great! Be sure to check out her blog here.
