Camera Box Card with Kathy

Hi Everyone! It’s Kathy here to wish you a happy Monday!   In my family we have a LOT of spring birthdays and I thought it would be good if I got ahead of things and made some cards! I love Lori’s box cards and the A2 Shaped Box Card Camera (here in the Silhouette Store)  is perfect for almost anyone!  Take a peek…

You can make this card for a man or woman, just change up the colors to suit your needs!  I made my “springy” using some papers from Echo Park’s Celebrate Spring and Celebrate Easter Collections.

That’s it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Easter Cross Card Tutorial with Courtney

Hello everyone! Courtney Lee from Court’s Crafts here with an A2 Pop Dot Easter Card tutorial!

This card is very special as my friend is being confirmed into the Catholic Church this Easter. She loves to travel and this season of her life has been such a journey. So there is so much symbolism here. I chose wood for the crosses. I put an airplane in with the flowers. I chose to emboss the whole thing with the world as Jesus came to save the world and there is a world map behind the crosses.

Without further adieu here is my tutorial! This is how it looks when you import it. I copied and pasted the layer with the three crosses as I wanted to cut it out of two different colors to make the crosses really stand out.

Here it is after I colored the layers how I was going to cut them out. I do this as I have three little “helpers” and it’s easy to forget which papers I picked out.

This is what it looked like after I cut it out.

I used my X-acto knife to cut out the crosses.

I put all three layers together and embossed them at the same time with the world embossing folder from the Go See Explore collection for Echo Park Paper by Lori Whitlock.

Isn’t this world embossing folder fabulous? I just love it.

Here is what it looked like after it came out. I kind of had to pull it apart so I could put foam dots in between the layers.

I was careful how I aligned the embossing folder so that once the card was assembled you could tell that it was a world map.

I glued the crosses to the green layer.

I glued the world map to the back of the green layer. In hindsight I wish I would have popped that layer as well to give the crosses some depth.

Time to break out those pop dots!

These enamel shapes are awesome. I grabbed one for my sentiment.

Now it is time to decorate. Enamel shapes and dots galore.

I love these clouds and stars.

I tucked an airplane in the flowers.

Here it is all finished. I hope you enjoyed my tutorial today and that you make a special card for someone for Easter or to bring to Easter dinner as a thank you. This one is beautiful in all white or in many colors!

Flower Pot Spring Cards

Anita here today with some lovely spring cards that Lori designed recently.  They are called A2 Center Step Card Flower Pot and you can find the cut files here in her store and here in the Silhouette Store.  This set comes with four different sentiments.  I made two and they are so easy to put together.  I used Lori Whitlock’s Celebrate Easter collection from Echo Park for this set.

Here are some close ups of the cards.  That’s it for me today.  Hope you have a chance to make something pretty today.

Hugs,

Anita

Easter Cuties with Guest Designer Brigit Mann!

Hello everyone!  It’s Brigit from Brigit’s Scraps, I’m so excited to be guest designer here today.  I was on Lori’s Creative Team a couple of years a ago and had the best time.  I love creating projects with Lori’s cut files, they are truly some of my all time favorite files to work with.

With Easter just around the corner I thought this shaped bunny card with shaker basket would make a cute gift set.

I used the bunny and carrot from the Easter Icon Set (here in the Silhouette Store) and the sign and pole from the Fishing set.  I placed all the files how I wanted them in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and then did an offset.  I cut out two of the offsets and scored straight across both ears about an half inch down on one of them.  I then glued the two layers together above the score lines to form my base card.

This shaker basket (here in the Silhouette Store) is just darling and it’s so simple to put together, I love it!  You just need to glue the bottom and inside liner, the brads hold the sides together.  All the paper used is from Doodlebug Design.

Hope you have enjoyed these projects, thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
