Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be joining Lori Whitlock’s design team!! My name is Marcia (pronounced Mar-see-ah) Dehn-Nix and I am a cut file junkie. I live in Minnesota with my husband and numerous cats and dogs as I am a foster failure as well as a stray magnet. We also have three adult children who have left us empty nesters as they have ventured into the world. I am a software engineer currently working from home. One of my favorite things to make are box cards. I love to see people’s faces when I gift them and then watch as they pick their jaws up off the ground as they ask…”You made this?”.  So for my first project I decided to make the Corn Dog Food Truck Box Card found here; ( Lori Whitlock SVG Shop / Silhouette Store ).

Due to Covid, there will be no state fair in Minnesota this year and this is the week it would have opened. I am truly missing all my state fair food favorites including corn dogs! I may have to go in search of a a food truck. I kept very close to the original color scheme when making my box card.

5X7 Pop Up Flower Card

Anita here with one of Lori’s stunning pop up flower cards.  I made this card using Lori’s 5X7 Pop Up Flower Card 4 which you can find the  here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and here in the Silhouette Design Store.  For help with assembly, I watched Lori’s YouTube tutorial which you can find here.  I used some of Lori’s lovely Echo Park Paper collections including I Love Summer, My Favorite Christmas and All Boy.

Look how pretty this card is when open!  I can’t wait to send it off to an August birthday girl.  Be sure to check out all of Lori’s Pop Up Flower Cards  and watch the tutorial.  They are easy to put together once you watch the video.
