3×3 Pop-up Valentines Using Print and Cut with Courtney

Hello Lori Whitlock fans! 🙂 This is Courtney Lee from Court’s Crafts  with my first official Creative Team post and I am here to inspire you to make those last minute valentines for your kiddos! I know it seems easier to buy them at the store… but I promise this is SO simple, unique, AND you can just print them again next year!

I used four different files to create these valentines (and actually two different machines!) Valentine Print and Cut Set 1, Valentine Print and Cut Set 2, Valentine Print and Cut Set 3, and the 3×3 Valentine Pop-up Cards.  I was determined to get to know my print and cut feature on my Silhouette so I resized the digital file to fit the front of the 3×3 card from the 3×3 Valentine file. You can just print them out as they come and you will have super cute valentines! I printed 6 extra for the girls because they were just too darling. Here are the outsides.

After I printed and cut them, I cut them down to a smaller size to fit on the front of the 3×3 cards. The front is actually 3 x 2.75 because of the way they fold. I corner rounded some of the edges and started on decoration! I used border stickers, stickers, and enamel shapes to add some depth and interest.

The insides were too cute. I cut all of the 3×3 Valentine bases and insides with my Cricut Explore Air. It was made SO simple because the different layers are color coded and you can sync them so easily. I moved a bunch of color layers together so that I wouldn’t have so many mats to cut and so the valentines would have some super cute continuity. Here are the insides. I arranged the collage so you could see how they coordinate with the outsides above.

Have fun with the decoration! I tried not to over-think it and I just had a blast. I love that when you decorate the bottom of the pop-up that you also get to see it on the inside of the card. It’s super fun.
I hope this inspires you to grab some of Lori’s adorable valentine files! There are SO many cute ones to chose from and the kids have such a great time helping you make them! My two littles are fighting over who gets which ones! Time go to make some more! 🙂 The SVG links to Lori’s shop are above in the text. Here are the Silhouette File links.

How About a Hug?

Hi Everyone!  It’s Kathy today with a couple of my favorite new files in Lori’s Shop!  As soon as I saw these Huggers, I knew I would be making them… take a peek…

I made the Valentine Candy Hugger Dog   (available here in the Silhouette Store) and the Valentine Candy Hugger Cat  (available here in the Silhouette Store.)  Aren’t they just adorable?  I also love the punny print and cut tags that come with the Huggers!  Here are some close-ups…

These go together easily and would be perfect for classmates and friends!  There is also a Valentine Hugger Penguin and Bear and they are just as adorable as these two!  That’s it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

Lovebug Box with Corri

Hi everyone!  Corri here today sharing my take on Lori’s ladybug slip lid box.

To turn my ladybug into a “love”bug,  I  used the “release compound path” feature to remove the polka dots and replace them with hearts.

This little box would be great for classroom Valentine’s Day treats.  It’s  adorable on it’s own so I added just a couple of embellishments.  I cut a pieces of glitter cardstock to fit behind my hearts for a little sparkle and added a sticker from the Doodlebug – Sweet Things Collection and a twine bow.

Head over to the Lori’s SVG Shop to find more adorable treat bags and cards for Valentine’s Day.

EOS Lip Balm Holders with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It’s Kathy today with some ADORABLE Lip Balm holders!  I don’t know about where you live, but here in MA, EOS Lip Balms are all the rage, so when I saw Lori’s sweet card holders in the shop  (or here in the Silhouette Store) I couldn’t resist!  These will be perfect for my daughter and her friends for Valentine’s Day!  Take a peek:

There are eight different designs, but I chose the Butterfly, the Cupcake and the Flower.  I added some foam tape between the layers for dimension and embellished them with some stickers and gems.  So easy to put together and so cute!!!  Here are some close-ups…

Can’t wait to try the others!!!  That’s it for me today, thanks for stopping by !

Happy Valentines Day projects by Corri & Amanda

Happy Valentines Day! or SAD (Single Awareness Day) as my teenagers would say. We hope no matter your situation you have a fabulous day! As always we are sharing some amazing projects. First up is the talented Corri, she says…

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope you all have a great day with the ones you love.

I have one last Valentine’s Day project to show you and I have to say I’m a little sad….I’ve had so much fun creating with the Love Story Collection from Echo Park, designed by Lori Whitlock.

For today’s project, I made a simple card using two hearts from Lori’s 11 hearts set

I created the scallop mat by welding a border strip to a rectangle. I cut this adorable tall heart gable box to match.  This box is super simple to make….it cuts out has one piece. I added some chipboard embellishments from the Love Story collection.

Amanda has created this beautiful Valentines Day Box…

As it’s valentine’s day I thought I’d create and decorate Lori’s fabulous heart shaped box. I used some layered flowers and doilies on the lid for embellishment. I glittered the flower pieces and added a valentine’s border around the lid.
I used the Love Story papers and SVG Files used are:
3 doilies 3
Heart Shaped box
Valentines borders 2
5 layering flowers
