Box Card Rainbow with Unicorn Tutorial

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this cute Rainbow Unicorn Box Card with you!

For my card I chose the Box Card Rainbow (SVGSilhouette). The Rainbow card is cute on its own, but I wanted to add a little touch of magic to my card, so I have also added the Unicorn from the Unicorn Card (SVGSilhouette).
To start I opened both files on separate pages in Silhouette. I then copied & pasted my unicorn to the page with the Box Card Rainbow. From here I was able to resize the Unicorn to fit with my Rainbow as the original was a lot larger.
I wanted this to be a Birthday card, so I swapped out the sentiment by typing a new one using the Samantha Craft font then I print & cut.
To start I glued the little black piece to the back of Unicorn shape that has the holes cut for the eye & nostril. Then I added more glue & pasted this on top of the solid Unicorn shape.
After cutting all my pieces I glued the coloured panels onto my white corresponding pieces.
I then folded the tabs on my Rainbow shapes. The back & middle pieces I folded to the front. The small one at the front I folded to the back. Next I glued them all into place one at a time starting from the back, by first doing one side then gently folding the card flat as I go to make sure it placed evenly before I glued the tab on the other side.
Then I added some foam squares to the back of the Unicorn & front Rainbow/Cloud & Cloud pieces to get some dimension on the card.
Lastly I adhered the cloud pieces & my Unicorn onto the card & finished off with some Star & Heart enamel stickers to embellish.
The box card folds flat to fit into 5×7 envelope!

I love how this turned out!

Unicorn Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone!  Seems like Spring is finally here or at least it’s right around the corner.  Spring makes me think of bright colors and lots of flowers…so I have a little project to share with you that will brighten any girl’s day.  I plan on sending this to my little grand daughter just to make her smile,  fill it with jelly beans for a special treat, along with the gift card holder in the back, so she can buy a couple little things.

One thing I love to do with Lori’s files is to combine them.  I can always customize them to match my creative side.  This project is made of three files and it turned out adorable.  I combined her files all the time to get the look I love.  I started with all of these from Lori’s Shop  : First, the  Mini Coffee Cup Holder (Wreath), then I used the Mini Coffee Cup Carrier and I used the just the sleeve to fit around the cup.  Next, I used the Unicorn Cake Topper Table Decor , I sized it down to fit my cup.  The original size of the file has the circle base of the design at 6 inches.  I scaled it down to 2.5 inches, which is the diameter of the cup lid.  I cut the horn, ears and the green leaves from that file.  I used glitter paper for the horn and inside of the ears.  When making your horn it is easiest to glue it together with hot glue, it just holds the heavy glitter paper quickly and securely.  I glued the horn and ears to the lid of the cup with hot glue also, and then just added the leaves and paper flowers.  It’s just adorable and I know my little person with be delighted!

You can find the files here at the Silhouette Online Design Store: Mini Coffee Cup WreathMini Coffee Cup Carrier, and the Unicorn Cake Topper Table Decor.

Unicorn Impossible Birthday Card

Hello everybody, Marcia here today. I have a ton of family birthdays coming up. Since we are still not gathering until more of us can get vaccinated, I wanted to get some birthday cards made to get off in the mail. This Unicorn Impossible Birthday Card (SVGSilhouette) caught my eye for my niece’s daughter. She is seriously into unicorns right now. I created this with a rainbow selection of glitter cardstock and used a pink cardstock base.

These are fun interactive cards. When you twist them the center pops up, yet they fold flat for mailing. You can use the birthday sentiment that comes with the card or create your own sentiment.  For an assembly tutorial, see Lori’s YouTube Channel here.

There are lots of impossible cards in Lori’s shop. Send one to someone you know who could use a little pick me up right now. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Unicorn Gable Box with Brigit

Hi there! Brigit here sharing this adorable unicorn gable box. You can find the cut file here at Lori Whitlock’s shop and here in the Silhouette store.

I cut the horn out of some silver and gold glitter paper and for the flowers and leaves, I used Doodlebug’s daisy-stripe petite print paper. I added the nose and nostrils for a little different look.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!
