Pop Up Drawer Card with Traci

Hi everyone!  It’s Traci, from Artsy Albums.  Despite my love for mini albums, I do occasionally have fun with cards, especially when I come across a card design as cute as this one!

Isn’t this fun?!  The top of the box lays flat, and then when you pull the drawer open, the top lifts up.  Lori has lots of Pop Up Drawer designs in her shop.  (This file is also available in the Silhouette Store here.)    Here is a shot of the back …
I tucked in a gift card and my present is all set … super cute and fun to make!  The paper, also designed by Lori for Echo Park, is called Wish Upon A Star.

Doodlebug Design Snips & Snails Project

Hi Everyone! Today I’m showcasing another fabulous project using Doodlebug Design’s cut files!  These fabulous cards were created by Traci Penrod for Doodlebug Design.

Traci used the Baby Boy Title, Car, Elephant, StarsGiraffe and Sailboat files from the Snips and Snails Collection.

I love how she used the files for more than just baby cards!  For details, you can see the original post here.

New Doodlebug Design SVG files are being added to the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop on a regular basis, so stop by to see all of the fun SVG files HERE!

Have a great day!

Owl Thank You Card

Hi everyone!  It’s Traci, from Artsy Albums, and I’m back to share another project using Lori’s Sizzix dies.  I created this cute thank you card using her Owl #5 Bigz die, and a sentiment stamp from the Fox & Owl Sentiments set.

To create the card, I cut the base from a piece of folded white card stock, making sure that the paper fold was placed just under the top cutting portion of the owl’s ears.  Then, I cut each of the pieces out of pattern paper from Echo Park’s Pinstripes collection (designed by Lori) and layered them on the front of my card.

For the sentiment, I cut a frame from the Fox & Owl Sentiment set and then stamped the cute thank you phrase.  This will be the perfect little card to tell a friend how much I appreciate her!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out all of Lori’s awesome Sizzix dies here.

A Tea Party with Lori’s Sizzix Dies

Hi everyone!  It’s Traci, from Artsy Albums, and I’m excited to be on Lori’s blog today to share some fun projects using her Sizzix dies.  As you know, Lori designs fabulous cutting files for our digital cutting machines, and creates beautiful paper collections for Echo Park.  She also designs wonderful dies for Sizzix!  For crafters who don’t have a digital cutting machine, or who want to cut heavier materials like chipboard, these are so much fun!

I used several different dies and stamps to create a sweet tea party set for a little girl.  I’ve added links below so you can get all of the details.  The papers and embellishments are from the Petticoats collection that Lori designed for Echo Park.

Before you can have a tea party, you have to invite some friends.  I used Lori’s Sizzix Bigz Teapot die to create my invitation.  To create a card, I folded my white card stock and cut the shape out with my fold positioned to the right of the handle’s cut line.  This prevented that area of the handle from cutting and allowed the fold to stay in tact.  I then cut two more teapots to add to the front, and inside, of the card.

I created some adorable treat packaging with the Square Favor Box Bigz Die and the Bigz Favor Bag die.  The “Hello Cupcake” die and stamp sentiment are from Lori’s Birthday Framelits Set.

I created a thank-you card using several of the dies and a stamp from the Jar and Teapot Framelit set and finished my set with a cute little mini album.  The Cupcake #2 Bigz die was perfect for this since I wanted to cut several pieces of thick chipboard.  After cutting the cupcake out of pattern paper also, I glued the page pieces together and punched a hole in one side for a binding ring.  A little ribbon and a lot of enamel dots finished off my mini in no time.

I hope you visit some of the links I’ve included to learn more about Lori’s wonderful designs over at Sizzix.com, and stop by my blog at Artsy Albums sometime and say hello!

Happy crafting everyone!
