Birthday Shaker Card by Lezlye

Welcome Lori Whitlock Fans!  Today I have fun a Birthday Shaker Card to share!

I cut the file out of white cardstock and then did a bit of “card surgery” cutting it in half.  I did this so that I could add acetate and foam squares to the back to form a well to hold the sequins and confetti.

Simply add foam and sequins, and finish it off with the panel you cut from the file.  I then glued it to the card base.  My sentiment came from another card file of Lori’s, the links are below.

Graduation Box Card Tutorial by Lezlye

Hi Everyone! It’s Lezlye and  I have a video tutorial for you today, working with the Hidden Box Gatefold Card . I kept pretty basic in my design, though it would be fun to experiment with adding texture and maybe some stamping on the panels.

You can see how deep the box is, but for the sake of folding and putting in an envelope I wouldn’t stuff it too full.

The best thing is, you can customize your colors according to the graduate’s school colors. I have included the assembly video below. In the video, I used papers from Echo Park Go See Explore by Lori Whitlock.

And here is my video:

Sending Hugs by Lezlye

Welcome to Lori’s Blog! The place for inspiration and tutorials for her amazing files that she creates so generously for us to use.  Today I have an encouragement/feel better card for a friend.  I used the Shaped Box Card Teapot file and the Center Box Card Envelope file.

For papers, I used Echo Park’s Celebrate Easter and Celebrate Spring Collections. As an afterthought I should have coordinated my floral patterns!  🙂

I chose to use pearls in my flower centers instead of the little dots of paper included with the file.   It is nice to add dimensional elements to your cuts. These card go together pretty quickly.

I decided to emboss the scallop pieces to resemble enamel using Versa-mark and white embossing powder and heat. It gives a nice, shiny appearance.

And the finished card folds flat for mailing!

Now to just throw in a few teabags and mail it off!  Have a wonderful day!

Gable Box with Bow by Lezlye

Welcome friends! Today I am sharing the adorable little Gable Box with Bow.There are only 5 pieces in this file. Two of them for the bow.

I made this box to fill with candies for my Mom. She has Dementia and a lot of the time is depressed. She loves to have little candies around  so this was the perfect little box for just that. These would make great little party favor boxes too! It was super easy and quick. Especially using Lori’s Papers by Echo Park. This pattern is from the Spring Collection.

The Ephemra is Echo Park Spring Collection too

Mermaid Birthday- by Lezlye Lauterbach

Welcome to Lori’s Blog. Today, I’d like to tell you some of my little tricks for sprucing up my digital cut files.   I start by importing the SVG file into my Cricut Design Space just as is.   (Make sure to attach your score lines to each piece after ungrouping the design.)   The cutting on these files is really easy.  Just choose your paper colors and the Cricut Explore prompts you when to change the paper.

Here are all the pieces cut.

Now to personalize it a bit!  To add a little dimension to the background pieces,  I used a bubbles embossing folder.   Because the paper was larger than the folder I ran it through twice moving the paper to cover the whole piece.

I used a background wave stamp to add to the wave cuts with a white unicorn ink.  This gives it more of an ocean feel!

Now for some sparkle!  I used some Nuvo glimmer for the mermaid’s tail!

It’s easy to customize your cards, just add a little ink,  Stickles and/or glossy accents to dress up your pieces!

Thanks for stopping by..
