Creative Team Member Natalie

I love Creative Team days. They always have such fun ideas. We truly have the best team.

Natalie surprised us with this cute box she created. She used the “Witch Hat Window Box” then added a cute tag from the “6 Labels.”

Natalie says “The other day, I was at the grocery store, searching for a treat for my little scout group, and I ran across Hostess Ding Dongs…. First let me tell you I have a secret obsession with Hostess, maybe because I had a three year drought while we were in Canada, because ever since we came back, there has been plenty of zingers, donuts, fruit pies, you name it, we have tried it.  So I giggled a little the other day when I came across the Ding Dongs knowing we haven’t tried them yet, mainly since I don’t really love chocolate cake, my kids do, I could pass on the calories.  But when I saw them, immediately I had the phrase, Ding Dong the witch is dead come to mind.  Crazy how craft projects come to mind in the oddest places. I bought them, and as soon as I came home from the grocery store, I ran to the computer to see if Lori had a cute box, or bag, or something that I could put these little babies inside.  And sure enough she did.  So now the hardest part is to figure out who to give them too….(and hope I don’t offend them…hee hee)”

Creative Team Members Mendy and Lisa Bell

We would like to welcome yet another Creative Team Member, Mendi Yoshikawa. I am so excited to share with you her talents. She used so many of Lori’s shapes on this one project, I had to have her give me a list.

Mendi said ‘These fun pocket cards are perfect for sending personal messages to loved ones over Halloween. They would be so great to slip in a child’s lunchbox on Halloween day or to send to a grandparent as happy mail this month!” Mendi has some great projects and instructions on her blog, be sure to check it out here.

Today we have eye candy from 2 different designers. This last one is by me, Lisa Bell. I created this fun Halloween Banner last weekend to decorate my house. (I love that Mendi and I used some of the same Echo Park Happy Halloween papers.)  I  used every Halloween paper I had in my stash for this. Halloween papers tend to stay the same color schemes which is great when you can’t find the papers you want anymore.

I used the “Build A Banner Set” for the base and the “Vintage Font” for the title. Then decorated with bats from “Halloween Embellishments 1” and “Haunted House,” “Spider and Web” for the web and spider, and the skull and cross bones from “Halloween Embellishments 2.” I have more detailed pictures and instructions on my blog here so hop on over.

Creative Team Member Joy

Today for our Friday Feature I have 2 cute jack-o-lantern’s to share with you. Joy used the “Pumpkin Box” for her project. She says

“You can make the bag as big or small as you’d like.  I chose to make them tiny enough to hold a mini candy bar.  This project is perfect for making in multiples!  Think…the whole class or office.  You only need glue to add the pumpkin face, the whole bag is created with some very straightforward folding.  You’re going to LOVE this design! ”
