Now we will turn the time over to Brandie…

Hello there! Graduation season is upon us. It always feels like the last few weeks of school are a whirlwind. I have two graduates to celebrate and needed something easy and cute. This A2 Graduation Gown Gift Card holder is perfect (SVGSilhouette). It’s easily customized and what graduate doesn’t love a little money.

After I uploaded the file to Cricut Design Spacae I decided I wanted to add a sentiment and the year. I typed out congratulations and 2024 in the font I liked. I resized to fit on the white sashes, adjusted the alignment, and flattened the sashes to make them a print and cut.

This cap and gown come together quickly. The front of the gown has the yellow accents for the collar and sleeves. The back of the gown also has sleeve accents, and the cap has a tassel and tiny circle to cover the top of the tassel after it is glued onto the cap.
For the pocket I glued the pocket to the inside of the back of the gown, aligning the corners to the edge of the gown so that it wouldn’t show over the edges.  I then glued the front of the gown on top of the pocket making sure not to glue the top closed.

This little cap and gown are ready for a gift card or even some cash. Thanks for stopping by today!

A2 Graduation Cap Card 2 Tutorial

Anita here with a tutorial for assembling Lori’s A2 Grad Cap Card (SVGSilhouette).  I also used a tutorial that one of my fellow Creative Team Members created to make the tassel for my card.  You can find Teri’s tutorial here.  Below are the pieces that you will need to cut out to make this card.

This is the card base and you will be closing the card by gluing on the tabs.
Next, we will fold the inner part of the card that makes the sentiment card base and grad hat shape.  You will want to flip your card over and fold across the score lines as shown below.
Flip the card back over with the right side facing up and fold on the diagonal score lines.  I did one fold to the left and then the next diagonal score line was folded to the right.
Once you have your card folded it should look like the card below.
I glued the tassel with a wet adhesive to make sure that it would stay in place.

Here is what the card insert looks like with the grad cap topper on the base and a brad through the holes.

Here is a photo of the pieces of the card pieces together and you are now ready to insert the card base into the envelope pocket.
That’s it for me today.  Be sure to check out all of Lori’s graduation cards.
Hugs,
Anita

Graduation Hat Box Card Tutorial

It’s almost time for all the Graduation announcements to start rolling in and Lori has all the perfect cards for the new Grads.  I have a tutorial to share with you today with one of her new files, and you guessed it…a box card.  It’s the Box Card Graduation Hat in Lori’s Shop or here in the Silhouette Design Store.

First, I chose my colors of card stock and cut everything out as you can see below.  I love that Lori colors all of her files.  It just makes it all so easy,

After I get all of my pieces cut out, I find it easier when making box cards or envelope cards, to adhere all the bits and pieces to the main parts while everything is still flat. Not dimensional yet. So here you can see that I have all three of my box card pieces layered and adhered.
Then I add scor tape to all of the tabs, a nice strong double-sided tape works best for these cards.
You can see the scor tape on the tabs, it’s the white strips.
Next, assemble your box and then add your two layers…the hat and the stars.
You can see below how they are adhered inside the box.
These are so much fun to create and give such a WOW factor. Remember they fold flat for mailing too!
I adore how this turned out. Just so fun for the Graduate!
Thanks for joining us today!
