Gnome Gift Set by Brigit

I thought the No 10 Gnome Holiday card from Lori’s shop was so adorable and didn’t get a chance to use it for Christmas so I figured I use it for Valentine’s day.

I wanted to make a gift set so I thought the k cup ornament could look like a little mushroom house with a few added elements.

For the sentiment I used the nested hearts and typed up the saying and did a print and cut.

Here’s a closer look at the k cup, I added the circle cut outs and adjusted the width. The windows are from the gingerbread house favor box. You can also get all these files at the silhouette design store, gnome cardk cup ornamentnested hearts and gingerbread house favor box.

Matching Mandala Card and Box Set by Aimee

Hello everyone! Aimee here with you today with a tutorial on creating a matching Mandala card and box set. I absolutely love the beautiful mandalas and wanted to create a box that has that same beautiful design. I feel this would be a perfect combo to give a friend on her birthday.

I started off making the Mandala Card 3 (Lori Whitlock store or Silhouette store) as my inspiration and then started the process of making the matching box. I opened up the Favor Box Ribbon Tie Scalloped SVG (found in the Lori Whitlock store or at Silhouette) along with a mandala SVG (Lori Whitlock store or at Silhouette). I resized the mandala to fit the front cover of the favor box.

Then I highlighted both pieces…right click, scroll down until “make compound path” was selected and left click.

Now the cut should look like this and ready to cut. The center pieces of the circles will cut but I chose not to use them on my project.

Next comes creating a circle that will fit behind the mandala to mask the pattern paper.

Make sure that the circle is big enough to cover the backside of the mandala but small enough not to peek out from behind the layered box piece.

Now everything is ready to cut!

And here are all of my pieces cut out from pattern papers (with the exception of the back cover panel).

Because the mandala svg is so intricate I used a small tip glue bottle to apply adhesive.

Now that I have the green circle adhered to the panel cover I am ready to pre-fold my box and then adhere it together.

Here is my box assembled and the front panel cover adhered to the front of the box.

Decorating is the fun part and there are so many options such as sequins, gems, ribbon, etc for decorating.

Thanks for joining us today for this tutorial! I hope this gets the creative juices flowing on how you can mix and match different svg cuts to create a whole slew of projects.

Flexi Butterfly Card and Box by Brigit

Hello, here’s a cute gift set using Lori’s flexi card butterfly and small top box. You can get both of these files at the Silhouette Design Store here and here.

The flexi cards are such a unique design and look so pretty displayed. For this set, I used Doodlebug’s Hello patterned paper and stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card.

The butterfly is such a beautiful cutout it really doesn’t need any embellishments, love how the white stands out on the pink paper inside.

I welded the butterfly together to create a topper for the box to match the card making it a nice gift set.

Gift Set Tutorial by Brigit

Hello there, it’s Brigit here today sharing a quick tutorial. I needed a gift bag for a friend and since she’s a cat lover I thought the cat on the pop up drawer birthday cat would be perfect for a gift set. You can get this file also from the Silhouette Design Store here.

I uploaded the pumpkin favor box and pop up drawer birthday cat into Cricut Design Space and deleted the pieces I didn’t need, leaving just the box and card with the cat. You can also get the pumpkin favor box from the Silhouette Design Store here.

I grouped the card with the cat and resized to 4″ x 5.25″ and then ungrouped. Since the sentiment is a print n cut I selected both the top banner and text to flatten, this turns it into a printable single image.

Next I duplicated the cat and sized it so it fit between the score lines on the front of the box. Then cut out the project using my Cricut Maker.

Hope you enjoyed this gift set, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Winter Gift Set by Brigit

Hello, and Happy New year!  It’s Brigit here today sharing a winter gift set featuring the A2 Snowman Card and the Tall Christmas Tree Box. I’m using this set as a thank you for a friend but it would make a cute set for any winter occasion.

You can get both of these files also from the Silhouette Design Store, A2 Snowman Card and the Tall Christmas Tree Box. I used the svg from Lori’s store so I could cut them out on my cricut maker.

I made the card thinner so the snowman would better match the one on the tall box. I used paper from Echo Park’s A Perfect Winter designed by Lori along with frames and tagsdecorate brads and enamel dots from the collection.

I just did a release compound path to get rid of the Christmas tree and resized the snowman to fit on the front layer. This is such a cute box, it was perfect for the makeup items I put inside.
