Money Roll Gift Bag Tutorial

Hello there! Today I am sharing a tutorial for the Money Roll Gift Bag Birthday file (SVG, Silhouette). For this project I also used the Party Animal collection by Echo Park Paper Co. This little gift idea is perfect for a last-minute gift idea or that hard to shop loved one.

After cutting everything out, I inked the edges of my bag, box, cake, and candles. I glued the decorative panels in place, assembled the cake, and folded all the score lines into mountain folds. Since I used patterned paper for the cake, I couldn’t use the print and cut feature, so I added a few stickers from the collection for the sentiment.

Once the cake was assembled, I glued the back and attached it to the front of the bag. I folded down the bottom tabs and glued each layer to hold it in place. For the money roll box, I glued the smallest tabs and secured each side. The back of the box stays open and will fold shut once the money roll is tucked inside.

The file includes a print-and-cut tab to attach to the end of the money. I used low-tack washi tape to secure the tab and connect the money end to end. Starting from the end without the tab, I rolled up the bills, fed the tab through the slot in the money roll box, and then closed the box. The money roll box fits perfectly into the bag.

This money roll gift set is sure to be a hit with the recipient and will make gifting money exciting as the tab is pulled. Thanks for stopping by today, and happy crafting!

5×7 Box Card Happy Birthday Dog

5×7 Box Card Happy Birthday Dog

 Hello Little Midge

I am expecting a new little grand doggie coming into the family soon.  Her name is Midge and she is a little Frenchton. She’s mostly a black/brown brindle with a touch of white and is the cutest little roly poly pup!

My daughter Abby is anxiously awaiting the day when Midge can come to stay. It was Abby’s birthday recently so I made this card with a little “Midge” wishing her happy birthday!  It is a very easy box card with lots of colorful balloons!  (and very easy to mix it up by changing the colors) The sentiment is a print and cut that is provided in the file. Of course I always print about 10 so I can use the sentiments on other projects!
I hope you enjoy this card.  It can be found in Lori’s shop (click on the top link at the very top) or can be found at the Silhouette store HERE

New Year, crafting goals and birthdays!

Are you starting the new year with any crafting goals?  My goal is to organize my crafting space and supplies.

Along with that, today I’m sharing one of Lori’s moneyholder cards. You could use this all year long for birthdays. So you could make as many as you need at the start of the year and have them ready to go when you need them. You can find them here: SVGSilhouette

3D Paper Succulent Plants with Michelle

Hello Lori Whitlock Fans! Michelle here today to share some brand new 3D paper succulent designs that Lori has created.  You are going to love how fun and easy these are to make!

Each miniature paper plant stands about 2 1/2 inches tall. Such tiny little treasures! These designs can be scaled up and made larger if you would like to create something bigger. I had so much fun putting these together and I know that I will be making more! There are five new succulent designs available. You can purchase The Succulent Bundle 2 at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, or you can purchase them individually. They are also available at the Silhouette Design Store.

Each succulent comes complete with its own little planter. Feel free to mix and match them all to create your own garden! This plant, Succulent #8, can be purchased alone at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, or at the Silhouette Design Store. I loved using pastel chalks to give it color variations.

My second paper succulent was made with Succulent 11 files from the Lori Whitlock Store. You could also purchase these paper succulent files from the Silhouette Design Store. It originally came with a square planter, but like I mentioned before, they can easily be mixed and matched.

Succulent #10 can also be found by itself at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, or can be found at the Silhouette Design Store.  I gave all of my plants unique shapes by using a kitchen kabob skewer.

I’ve really enjoyed creating my Miniature Succulent Garden and I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own garden too!

Heat Transfer Vinyl Potholder by Brigit

Hello there, it’s Brigit, I have a fun heat transfer vinyl project to share today. When I saw Lori’s homemade gingerbread phase (here in the Silhouette Design Store) I knew it would look so cute on one of the potholders from the Dollar Tree.

I used white siser easyweed heat transfer vinyl, it cut out beautifully and so easy to weed. To apply I used my new Cricut Easy Press which worked like a charm, but an iron works well also. These are quick and inexpensive gifts for Christmas time, I can’t wait to make more.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!
