5×7 Shutter Card Tutorial

Happy Thursday everyone!! I’m here with a quick and easy tutorial for you all today.

Here in South Dakota, at least my side of the state, we still haven’t had any snow. So I created this fun little shutter card in hopes of encourging the snow to fly. We also all need a reminder that even the easiest cards bases can turn out super cute and detailed. I used the 5×7 Shutter Card found here…(SVG, Silhouttte). Its such a fun little card base. My paper is from Echo Park Company. It’s Lori Whitlock’s Winter Fun line found HERE.

As usual, get all your pieces cut and organized.

The base itself gets folded on the score lines like the below photo.

Add your first patterened paper to the base remebering there is a bit of a mat on the base so don’t line your patterned paper to the edge.

Go ahead and add your 2nd patterened paper like shown.

And add your white piece to the center. I did use some pop dots to pop mine up a little.

Decorate your card as you see fit. I used some chipboard stickers and some regular stickers. Again, I used pop dots to give my cute fox some dimention. I also added some enamel dots for a little more fun and detail on the card.

How cute is this card with such a simple and easy card base?!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Flexi Fall Card Bundle

Fall is Here
I made these two cards from the Lori Whitlock Flexi Fall Card Bundle.

If you are making one, you might as well make 2!

For these two cards I used a kraft cardstock for the base and also this wonderful Echo Park Paper’s Fall Fever colorful cardstock. I added another mat piece to the front panels-because that seems to be my thing!

We are almost out of summer and moving quickly into fall!

Enjoy!

Shadow Box Card Scene – Fall Fox – Tutorial

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share my latest creative adventure with you: a fun print and cut project! I know that for many people, the idea of print and cut can seem daunting. But let me assure you, it’s actually a lot easier than it looks!

Files: SILHOUETTE/SVG

When I first started, I was intimidated by the idea of aligning everything perfectly. I thought I’d end up with wonky cuts and wasted materials. However, after diving in, I found it to be incredibly easy!

Cutting the cardstock pieces:
I love to cut as many colors that I can on 1 mat, so I place more than one color on a mat.

Print:
After I sorted the printable items of my design, I printed it out on quality paper. The key here is to ensure your printer settings are correct for the best results. I used semi glossy photo paper.

Cut:
After printing, I loaded the paper into my cutting machine. so my machine could cut the images!

Putting the card together:
The card elements are super easy to piece together, as you can see in the photos below!

After you glued these parts together you can start to add the print and cut elements, and decorate the outside panels.

If you’re considering trying a print and cut project, here are a few tips to help you along the way:

Use Quality Materials: Good printer paper and ink can make a huge difference in the final result of the printed images.
Practice: Don’t be discouraged if your first attempt doesn’t go perfectly. Each project is a learning opportunity!

I truly enjoyed my print and cut project, and I can’t wait to make more. Remember, it’s all about having fun and experimenting with your creativity. So, if you’ve been hesitant to try print and cut, I encourage you to jump in! You might just surprise yourself with what you can create. And there are so many cute Print and cut projects in Lori her shop, go take a look!

Precious Baby Fox Bobble Head Card

Happy Monday, Friends! Creative Team Member, Mitsyana Wright, here! And I have some sweet inspiration to start off the new week. I had a baby shower this past weekend and I created the little cutie to give to the mama to be.

For this adorable card, I used Lori Whitlock’s Bobble Head Card Fox file.  I saw this little guy and automatically fell in love with him!

You can find this card HERE in Lori’s SVG Shop…

Or HERE in the Silhouette Store.

Since my friend is expecting a girl, I decided to turn this cute little guy into a cute little girl by hand drawing on eyelashes and added pink chalk for blushed cheeks.

I used  Echo Park’s Sweet Baby Girl 6×6 Paper Pad and Sweet Baby Girl Frames & Tags Ephemera. The colors, patterns, and sentiments were absolutely perfect!! And as you can see pulled everything together to make an uber adorable baby shower card!

I hope you enjoyed this projects and it gives you a wonderful start to your week!!

Happy Crafting, Everyone!!
