Tuesday Freebie + New in Shop

TODAY & TOMORROW, this SVG file is FREE with Purchase.

First off, I wanted to talk to the Cricut Explore users out there. Cricut just launched Design Space 2.0. The good news is that SVG files now come in at the original size!! This is so great. There really isn’t any need to reference the “cut size” info any more.  If you have any issues with score marks staying in place please contact me for updated files. I am more than happy to help you get files that are working smoothly for you. I promise that I’m working hard to make sure my files are Cricut Explore compatible. Each time they upgrade their software, it seems to bring up a new issue, but I will make sure my customers are happy and get you the files you need. And, once I update a file, I am replacing it in the shop so future customers are receiving the most current file. Please contact me right away if you have any concerns with your files by emailing me at info@loriwhitlock.com. I love my customers! Without you, I would not be designing. Thank you for your loyalty.

We have an adorable free file with purchase today! First is Life Cards Easter. I love the options it gives me for my Project Life albums.

Check out this adorable layout by Roelien! SO cute.

Look at this fun project by our friend Sarah. She has created the CUTEST banner from these life cards. I LOVE that she used them in a non-traditional way. Way to go Sarah!

Next are these 2 sets of brushes/PNG’s, Life Cards 4×6 Brushes & PNG and Life Cards 3×4 Brushes & PNG. Both of this kits come as both PNG’s and .ABR to install in Photoshop and use as brushes. Brushes give you the ability to chose your color, rather than using the color provided. There are so many options available to you with these files. Besides being digital scrapbook files, these Life Cards are also available as SVG’s in Lori’s shop.

Easter Basket and Carrots by Corri

Corri is here today sharing an adorable Easter project with us, she says…

Lori Whitlock just added this adorable carrot box to the Silhouette Store. I just love it and couldn’t wait to cut it.

I cut the carrots as sized in the file.   I embossed the green tops with the Cuttlebug D’Vine Swirls embossing folder. I cut this adorable 3d Easter Basket at 10″ wide so I could fit the carrots inside.  I probably should have gone a little larger .  This basket it so cute…it just takes to brads to hold it together.

The paper on my project today is all from Echo Park – All about a Boy.

Easter Chicks by Corri

Hi everyone!  I  have a cute and quick Easter project to show you today using files from Lori Whitlock.

I made two of Lori’s Bunny Tote baskets.  These little baskets are so adorable and go together very quickly.  I added some googly eyes and inking to the ears and noses.  I also made a super simple card using the Happy Easter title.  I just added a bow and some gems to finish off my cute card.

Beautiful Easter Basket by Christine

Ok, I will admit it.  I have a weakness for chocolate. So I’m so glad that most holidays feature sweets as part of the celebration.  Easter, of course, is no exception.  In fact, it’s the best holiday for chocolate and sweets in my book.  So when I saw that big chocolate bunny created by Lori, I just knew he would be the perfect thing to put into my woven Easter basket.

First, I cut out the basket.  I used some woodgrain paper from     Lori Whitlock’s paper for Echo Park.  The basket went together very easily but I would suggest cutting out two handles so that you can have both sides of the handle look the same and so that it is a bit sturdier.  Lori has a video on her YouTube channel that shows you the exact steps to putting this basket together.
Next, I added this cute little bow as decoration.  Wow, what fun these little bows are to put together.  I am definitely going to do more of these in my future projects.
Here is my little chocolate bunny.  I thought it would be fun to cut out his bow a couple more times and attach the extra pieces with foam adhesive.  I love the dramatic look.  I also cut out a mirror image of him and the bows sothat you could see him from both sides.
I think that this is going to be a cute little table decoration for my foyer table.
