Life is Better on the Farm

Happy Monday everyone!

I was so excited when this Chickens paper from Echo Park Paper and Lori Whitlock arrived on my door step. I knew this egg-stra cute photo of my granddaughter taking her bucket of chicken feed to the chickens needed to go on here. Last summer I took the grandkids to their aunt’s farm to see all the animals. Mary was all about feeding the chickens and horses.

I used the Chickens paper and for my title I used the Life is Better on the Farm 2 image for my title and added a shadow backing.

Then I added some rosettes. I used just the rosette part from the A2 Easel Card Valentine Rosette. I used stickers and frames and tags for the centers of the rosettes and around the rosettes.

I finished off the layout by inking some feet from the Free Range Feet stencil and adding some stickers.

Thanks for stopping by and  happy crafting!

You’re A Good Egg

You’re a good egg!!!

This fun new cardstock release from Lori Whitlock is so fun. Having been a “chicken mom” for several years, I fell in love with it right away!

For my card today I used Lori’s 6×6 Chickens paper pad and also the coordinating ephemera package

and Lori’s Shaped Card Chick Egg cut file. (SVG, Silhouette

I resized the chick file so that it would fit inside the frame that came with the ephemera package. I then cut it out with my Silhouette. All other papers came either with the 6×6 pad or from the packaged goodies. I added the chick to my card with an action wobbler so the cute little chick could ruffle it’s feathers! I must say that the paper with the carton of eggs is my fave! I  used it for the background of this card.

I know you will love these chickens too!

Box Card Fall Barn

Hi there friends! I have been loving the Chickens collection by Echo Park Paper and wanted to use it again for another project. This barn box card is perfect for this paper collection (SVG, Silhouette). I added a cute chicken sticker to the front of the card for an additional embellishment. I think it is darling and will make a fun birthday card for someone special.

Thanks for stopping by today!

A “Chickens” Mini Cookbook

Hi everyone!  I have a fun little mini album to share with you today.  I created it with Lori’s new Echo Park Chickens collection.  I used every element of this collection, from the 12×12 paper pack, the frames n tags, the ephemera, enamel dots, matching cardstock and the 6×6 pad.  How blessed I am to have all this at my fingertips to create with.

I started by choosing four patterned papers to create envelopes.  I used this envelope, Nesting Window Card Envelope in Lori’s Shop.  I cut them and assembled, just ATG tape was used to adhere.
I then took all four and used my Cinch binding machine to create the little book with a spiral binding.
After I had my pages bound I then used this fun elements sheet to make 4 mini cards to go inside the envelopes. I cut my card stock 8.5 x 4. 25 inches and scored in the middle to make the little cards.
Simple little cards, my plan is to add my daughter’s favorite chicken dish recipes to these.  Hand written is the goal.
Next, I cut four library pockets and I just adhered these with ATG adhesive as well.
Next, four tags cut from an elements page to go inside my four pockets.  Again, I will add more hand written recipes.
I adhered the library pockets onto the back of the envelopes as you can see in the following photos.

This is a darling collection and just so perfect for creating a cookbook.
