Jack O Lantern Gable Boxes with Brigit

Hello, it’s Brigit here, I have a couple of Halloween favor boxes to share using the Gable Box Jack O Lantern Bundle for Lori’s shop.  You can also get these separately from the shop or at the Silhouette Design Store.

This one in the front is the Gable Box Jack O Lantern Tall, you can get it here from the Silhouette Design Store.  I just love the face on this, totally adorable!

Here are the Gable Box Jack O Lantern Medium and Small, (Silhouette Store – medium and small). I used older designer paper on these and added some green ribbon with Halloween flairs, super simple but so cute!

Halloween Treat Boxes Tutorial by Brigit

Hello there, it’s Brigit here, I have a quick tutorial on how I made these cute Halloween treat boxes. When I need a bunch of boxes I like to use the print and cut feature to create labels this way I can put them together very quickly. For these two I used two sheets from Doodlebug Design’s Halloween Parade paper collection.

For this project, I used the 2 on 12×12 Handle Ribbon Treat Box which you can get here at Lori’s shop or at the Silhouette Design Store here.  As the name applies you can get two of these on one sheet of 12 x 12 paper so it’s a great little treat box if you need a bunch.

I used the labels from the 5 Halloween Apothecary Labels set and a couple from the Halloween Label Set.  These are sold individually at the Silhouette Design Store, witches brew, spider legs, arsenic poison, crows feet, bat wings, old salem, and another bat wings. I sized them to fit the box and copied to a new page in Silhouette Studio, I use the Business Edition.

I printed out my sheet and cut them on my Brother ScanNCut 2 which is what I prefer to use cause I’m not limited to registration marks, but I do have a Cameo so if I was going to print n cut with it I would check the registration marks under the page setup.

For the apothecary labels when I selected cut edge the inside pieces were still selected so I grouped them made a duplicate, released and changed the color to white then aligned them together.

I was able to select cut edge then and the inside pieces weren’t selected.

Apple Slider Gift Card Holder with Brigit

Hello, Everyone!  It’s Brigit today with a cute gift card holder I created using the school apple and worm layered embellishment file from the Silhouette Design Store. This is also part of the layered fall embellishment set at Lori’s shop. I made a couple of adjustments in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to make it a slide out gift card holder.

I created rhinestone holes, (size 1 spacing .2) around an internal offset of the apple so I could stitch together a front and back layer using some Doodlebug twine.

The stitching at the top of the apple is only on the front, I needed a gap so the apple core with gift card could slide in and out.

To create the apple core I made an internal offset of the apple and used one of the nested scalloped circles, (Silhouette store here) to subtracted bites from it, I did this a couple of times. The placeholders are from one of the Christmas ornament gift card set, (Silhouette store here).

A cute way to give a back to school gift!  The patterned paper used is by Doodlebug and sentiment is from My Creative Time.

Guest Designer Brigit Mann

Hello, everyone, it’s Brigit from Brigit’s Scraps here today. I would like to thank Lori for having me back as a guest designer, I’m so happy to be here! I have a Fourth of July project to share using the 3D Star Shaped Box (here in the Silhouette Design Store.)

The box is very easy to put together, I punched two holes on the side to add the wire handle. The designer paper is from Doodlebug Design’s Yankee Doodle collection, perfect for this star box.

I also used the 3D Rosette (here in the Silhouette Store) and embellished with a Doodlebug button, sentiment, and some twine.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this project, thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
