Berry Sweet Box Card with Mitsyana

Hello, Crafty Friends!! Mitsyana Wright, here! Back again with another creative project using one of Lori Whitlock’s SVG designs! Do you have family, friends, or co-workers that are unbelievably “SWEET”?! I know I do. So, why not make them this berry sweet box card?

For today’s project, I used  Lori Whitlock’s Box Card Strawberry Carton.  You can find it in her SVG Shop, HERE.  Or in the Silhouette Store, HERE.

This file, when cut out, is totally cute on its own. But if you’re anything like me, you can always give it your own special touch and add your own details.

I inked the edges of the carton with brown ink and a sponge dauber for depth. But for the berries, leaves, and flowers, I decided to use an ultra-fine black ink pen to draw in details. I  outlined the strawberries and leaves. Then drew in seeds and veins. I even inked and lined the centers of the flowers.

For a finishing touch, I stamped a sweet sentiment and added brads to each side of the label.  Sometimes little details make a big impact and I total love how this super sweet card came together. I hope you do too!  Thanks for stopping in and hope you have an amazingly “SWEET” day!!

Disney Themed Box Card with Karin

20160418-_MG_5122-Edit

Someone in my Cricut group was asking if it would be possible to create a Disney themed box card. I answered that yes, you could take one of the box card designs from Lori Whitlock’s All Occasion Box Cards cartridge and then use images from a Disney cartridge to modify the box card and make anything you want.

In my video below, I show you exactly how you would do this. With the Cricut Explore and Design Space, you can literally make whatever you want. In the video, I used a Cricut cartridge, but you could also use SVG files or images from JPG files that you would print then cut and use in your box card.

I would love to see what you come up with. Leave comments below with your ideas.

Do You Want to Build a Box Card?

For my first project as a member of Lori Whitlock’s incredibly talented creative team, I am going to walk you through making a box card using the brand new All Occasion Box Cards Cricut cartridge.

In the video tutorial below, I am going to cover importing digital papers for use as patterns on cutting files, importing digital elements to be used as design elements that will be printed and cut out, and sizing box cards using two methods.

Below are closeups of the box card that show the papers and elements used.

The papers and elements I used in this project are from Lori’s Be My Valentine digital collection.

The video below is a step-by-step tutorial on how I put this card together in Cricut Design Space and cut all the elements with my Gold Explore Air available on HSN.
