Gingerbread Dollhouse

Do you love making gingerbread houses this time of year? Have you tried making any of Lori’s Paper Houses? They are so much fun to make. This cute gingerbread dollhouse has been added to Lori’s shop and Silhouette this week!

I used Lori’s Little Lumberjack collection from Echo Park to make my rendition of the Gingerbread Dollhouse.

There is still time to make some cute houses!  Have fun!

Gnome Box Tutorial

There is a new Gnome Box Collection in the Lori Whitlock SVG store.  They are all so cute.  Here’s some quick tips about putting these together.

The gnome I pieced together can be found here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, and at the Silhouette Design store here.

I used paper from Lori’s Little Lumberjack collection by Echo Park.

If you have a Cricut and a scoring tool or wheel, you will want to upload the Solid SVG file.  If you are using Silhouette or don’t have a scoring tool, you will want to use the Dashed Lines SVG file.

Here are all the gnome pieces.  There are gnomes on both sides of the box.

This is the box piece.  Notice that the gnomes will cover the sides of this box.  And you will see the pattern of this paper on the short side when completed.

Assemble all the gnome pieces on the flat box.

Then glue the box flaps together to complete the box.

This cute box could be used in a number of ways–class party craft, table name cards, or treat boxes.  Have fun creating!

Fall Extreme Pop-up Card

As a young girl, I fell in love with origami. From folding paper, it was natural to love pop-up cards and books.  I just love that Lori has these fun Pop-Up Cards in her shop. I made the Fall pop-up card, and I changed the sentiment to be used as a Thank You Card.

The card file can be found in Lori’s SVG Shop and in the Silhouette Design Store.

For papers, I used the Echo Park’s My Favorite Fall Collection designed by Lori.  The inside pop-up part is done using the Print and Cut function of your cutting machine. Once cut, it all comes together easily.  For a tutorial head over to Lori’s YouTube Channel here.

Have a great day!

Unicorn Wiper Card

I love that Unicorns and rainbows are so popular right now.  Lori has a wiper card that features a unicorn and it’s adorable!

Image 1

You can find this SVG file in Lori’s Shop and it’s also in the Silhouette Design Store.

When opening the file in Cricut Design Space, remember to attach the score lines to the appropriate card layer:

There are 3 pieces with score lines to attach, the card base, the front strip and the wiper tab.  Also, you can delete the grey triangle glue pieces; these pieces are only there to help you see where to glue.

If you are using Silhouette, first ungroup the file pieces (right mouse click on the image, and select ungroup ) then delete the glue pieces and sort the pieces by color for cutting.

These are the pieces you will have after cutting: The card pieces and covering panels.

And the sentiment, unicorn, and balloon tag pieces. The sentiment is done using the print and cut function of your cutting machine.  For tutorials on this, see our tutorials page.

Start by gluing all of the pieces:  Add the covering panels to the card base and piece together the unicorn and the wiper pieces.

Next, construct the card.  Lori has a great video showing how to construct the wiper mechanism . You can find it here.

The card base pieces fit together like this:

And the final card:

I used Lori’s I Love Summer Collection with Echo Park.  I added an extra tag and an enamel dot for embellishment.  This card is sure to brighten someone’s day!
