Camera Lovers Birthday Set

Hi Everyone:

Anita here with a really fun birthday card and camera gift box set for the photography lovers in your life.  My nephew takes amazing photos and I made this set for his birthday.   I used Lori’s A2 Shaped Box Card Camera which you can find the file for here in her SVG shop and here in the Silhouette store.  I used her SVG file called Camera Shaped Box and you can find that file here in Lori’s SVG shop and here in the Silhouette store.  Lori also has a wonderful tutorial for putting together the camera shaped box which was done by one of my fellow Creative Team members, Brandie Adams which you can find here.  I used a several of Lori’s wonderful Echo Park paper collections on these projects including I’d Rather be Crafting, Back to School and Easter Wishes.

That’s it for me today.

Laundry Procedures Chart

Hello:

Do you find yourself getting confused when you are doing laundry?  My husband does our laundry and he is always asking me how items should be washed.  All of the tags have symbols and no words these days so it’s like a game of Clue to try to figure out the appropriate way to wash your clothes.  Luckily, Lori  came up with The Laundry Procedures chart which you can find here in her SVG store and here in the Silhouette store.  I resized the file to fit on an 8.5″ x 11″ paper and then printed it through my Silhouette.  I then backed the chart with a paper from Lori’s Echo Park collection called I’d Rather Be Crafting, and added some embellishments from the collection.

We hung the chart near our laundry in the basement.  I am glad that he will have it for reference.  This would also be a great thing to give your new college student!   That’s it for me today.  Hope that you are enjoying the rest of your summer.

Anita

Pop Up Box Card Wedding Hearts

Hi:

Anita here with a card I made for my best friend’s daughter who just got engaged.  I love the pop up box cards.  They look so cool when they are open and they fold flat to mail.  There are so many different card styles to choose from in Lori’s store.  I used one of Lori’s new collection called Forward with Faith from Echo Park.  You can find the cute file which is called Pop Up Box Card Wedding Hearts here in Lori’s store and here in the Silhouette store.

Here is the card folded and ready to mail.  Be sure to check out Lori’s store for all your summer celebration needs.

Graduation Hat Jar Toppers with Anita

Hi Everyone:

Anita here to share with you a fun tutorial to make this Graduation Hat Wide Mouth Topper.  You can find this awesome cut file here in Lori’s store and here in the Silhouette store.  The Mason jars are by Ball and are 24 oz.  The opening is 3.5 inches in diameter.  Lori also has a cut file for a smaller Mason jar.

Here are the pieces that you will be cutting.  I edited the square shaped hat topper and transformed it into a hexagon to look like the PhD graduation cap that my best friend’s daughter wore at her recent graduation.

Here is a close up of the jars for you to see what they look like.

First you want to take the long, tabbed strip and fold the tabs along the score lines.  Glue the ends of the strip together to be in the shape of a circle.

Take the first circle and insert it inside the ring, gluing it to the folded tabs.  This helps keep the circle in shape.  Next, turn the ring over and glue the second circle over the tabs to hide them.

I made a tassel out of some twine in the school colors and threaded it through the hole in the larger of the two mortar board pieces.  I taped the end underneath and trimmed it so that you couldn’t see it.

Next, I glued the second, smaller mortar board piece over the twine tassel end and glued the circle base to the top centering it.

Here is another photo which might be a bit easier to see the parts.  These lovely toppers easily slip on and off the jar, making it easier to access the treats!

That’s it for me.  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out Lori’s store for all your spring and early summer celebration needs.

Hugs,

Anita
