Thanksgiving Turkey Décor Tutorial

Hello crafty friends! Aimee here with a tutorial on this sweet little 3D Turkey 2 (Lori’s ShopSilhouette). Is he not the cutest?!?! I made 2 of these guys…meet Tom Turkey and Timmy Turkey. I will be proudly displaying them on my dining room table this Thanksgiving!

Today I have a tutorial all set up if you are planning on making this little guy or guys for your Thanksgiving table. First thing is picking out the papers and fire up your paper cutting machine.
Cut out all of your pieces and get ready to assemble.
Adhere all of the box together but NOT THE TOP PIECE.
The wings are next. Turn the box where the lid faces you, slide the wing tabs into the slits in the box and adhere the tabs to the inside.
Adhere together all of the pieces for the head. I used some pop dots on the back side of the hat for some dimension. Also, I used some black enamel dots for the eyes. Then fold on the perforated neck line backwards.
Next thing to do is slip the head tab into the slit in the top of the box and adhere it to the inside of the box. Then adhere the top of the box to the rest of it.
Now your turkey should look like this…
I also used some pop dots on the feet to make it look like they are somewhat sticking out.

Glue the tail to the back of the box and your Tom Turkey is complete and ready to adorn your Thanksgiving table!!
And we are done! I made a “baby” turkey too by downsizing the original file.  Like I said, are they just the cutest?!?! I know they aren’t the traditional colors but I really love the warm green tones against the orange!
Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving full of love and thankfulness!

Halloween Card & Box Set

Hello crafty friends! It’s that time of year to bring out the tricks and treats! Today I have an adorable matching card and candy box set for a sweet someone in your life. Both ghosts are the one found in the card file and not the one that came with the box file which is why I say they are “matching”.  The card is the Floating Easel Card Haunted House (Lori’s Shop, Silhouette) and the candy box is the Handle Box Ghost (Lori’s Shop, Silhouette).
This sweet card was so much fun to make and although I messed up by using a white thread which is visible it still looks so cute! You should use fishing line which is clear.  I added some black inking around the edges of the purple cardstock to give this card an eerie effect.
And I just absolutely love this candy box that was made with the I Love Halloween collection!
That’s all from me today…I hope you give these projects a try. They are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

School Suitcase Favor Box Tutorial

Hello crafty friends! Aimee here to share a tutorial on how to make the new Suitcase Favor Box (Lori’s SVG Shop, Silhouette). This new cut file is so cute and perfect for so many occasions.

I used the new School Rules to create this sweet little suitcase filled with some goodies for the teacher. It is the perfect size to hold a box of 24 crayons and a gift card. I have a little step by step tutorial for you today to guide you in making one for yourself.

So let’s get started…

  1. Cut out all of the pieces

2. Start assembling the suitcase box

3. Adhere the belly band to the front, top, and bottom

4. Add the suitcase handle with small brads

5. Fold all of the suitcase corner pieces and adhere the full circle piece to make a complete corner

6.  Adhere these corner pieces to the corners of the suitcase box

7. Decorate the tag and use the twine to tie it to the suitcase box

And now you have an adorable little suitcase box to give as a sweet gift that any teacher would just gush over!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Back To School Organizer

Hello crafty friends! It’s that time of year! Schools are starting back! For my family, we are doing  virtual online schooling for my kiddo and while we were getting her desk ready we realized that she would need something to organize her highlighters and colored pencils. I found the Desk Organizer 2 (Lori’s SVG shop, Silhouette) and I knew it would be perfect.

And how cute is it all dressed up in the new School Rules collection? I pulled out a could of ephemera pieces that go together perfectly. And here is a picture with all of my daughter’s markers and pencils.

It is on her desk and we are ready for school now! Thank you all for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my desk organizer!

Birthday Hat Gift Set

Hello crafty friends! Aimee here with you today and I’m bringing you a fun and crafty way to celebrate a birthday. Lori has new matching Library Pocket Cards and Gift Boxes that have the cutest images for different occasions. My project for a birthday is the Gift Box Birthday Hat (Lori’s SVG Shop, Sihouette) and the Library Pocket Card Birthday Hat (Lori’s SVG Shop, Silhouette).

You could make this birthday duo fit anyone’s birthday according to which papers you used. I used some summery and tropical colors for mine because I have a family birthday coming up soon but this could easily be pink for a girl’s birthday or navy and maroon for a Dad birthday.  The card insert is done using the print and cut feature of your machine.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! And I hope you enjoy this birthday idea and that it gets you to thinking about matching gift sets that you may need in the near future. Check out all of the different images that Lori has created for us! Have a great day!
