Hi everyone! It’s Traci from Artsy Albums back with you today to share a tutorial on assembling Lori’s adorable pop-up crib card! This card is just precious, and so easy to put together. Get the Baby Crib Pop Up Card SVG file HERE. Get the Silhouette file HERE.
Start by cutting each of the pieces out of your favorite paper or card stock (I used THIS collection). I cut my base out of solid white card stock and then cut it out again from pink pattern paper … cute “wallpaper” isn’t it? For the pink, I trimmed the edges 1/8″ on each side to fit inside the white base card.
Next, glue your pieces together. Glue the crib by adhering the two ends together into a rectangle. Adhere the pieces of your base card together as desired.
In order to get the crib to “pop-up”, you will want to adhere the back left leg of the crib into the corner fold of your card, with the “back” of the crib adhered to the right side of the card, and the “left side” of the crib adhered to the left side of your card as shown below. If adhered correctly on two sides, your crib should fold down when the card is closed and pop back up when the card is opened.
I “decorated” my room with cute stickers from my stash, and added Lori’s cute little shelf on foam adhesive for dimension.
Finally, assemble the front of the card. I cut out the base card window shape a third time in order to get a cute pattern paper for the front of my card. Then I cut the adorable little rattle out of card stock, tied a sweet ribbon around it, and added a few more stickers. So cute!!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is quite frustrating when there are no directions available for a card that requires construction. When I made this card I was able to figure out the popup for the crib and everything else, but I was left with extra pieces that completely mystified me. Now I know – they are a baby rattle!!! Ah well – thanks again.

Hello, I just purchased the card and wondered what is the completed card size suppose to be.
I knew I had to have this file when I saw it. I added a piece of acrylic between the outside and inside window to make it look like a glass window. It’s an awesome card. Can’t wait to take it to an upcoming baby shower!
I love this card. And it seems that whenever I pick something I like in the Sihouette store, your name pops up! I’ve already purchased a few of your projects. They are just so stinkin’ cute!! ; ) I have made three projects already. I wish I had opened my Silhouette sooner. (Purchased it last Black Friday and waited until about a month ago to learn to use it) I waited because it was intimidating. But now I’m addicted! Keep ‘em comin’, Lori!! Thank you!
I need more in depth help with the Crib pop up card. The pieces do not seem to fit on my mat. With I put the registration marks, they are beyond the cut area. Please give more precise step by step instructions with illustrations.

Do you have to cut the pieces out of 12 x 12 cardstock for the pop up crib? Is this a print and cut or just a cut item?
Charmain — you will need 12″ paper on your mat for the crib and the base card, but this is not a print n cut so you don’t need to show registration marks.
You can cut out the base card using a 6×12 piece of paper. The white scallop, rattle, and shelf pieces can all be cut out at the same time if using the same paper.
