The New Lori Whitlock Paper Creative Team

Thank you does not even begin to express our appreciation to all of our amazing and talented readers. You amazed us and made it so difficult to choose a team this time around. Like I mentioned on Friday, PLEASE continue to share your projects with us at Lori’s Facebook page. We love seeing your creations! Without further ado, let me announce the team.

I guess first of all I should remind you who I am. I am usually the one talking to you. I am Lori’s all seeing eyes in cyber space (ha ha ha), and her talk a lot assistant. I have been bitten by the Project Life bug and currently sharing my layouts on my blog at Lisa Bell Designs

Next we have our wonderful returning friends.

Natalie shares with us projects of all types, paper, wood, fabric etc. She recently moved into a new home and has been decorating with new projects using Lori’s files each season. This Easter decoration is one such piece. We are thrilled to have you back Natalie. You can also see her work at My Graham Crackers

Christine is another of our all around crafters. She has an amazing talent for fabric and paper. She has a talent to push the shapes into something even more amazing than their original form. Check out this adorable chick box she created. Love the tail feathers she added. When she isn’t sharing here you can catch her craftiness at Its My Life.

Our next returning friend is Corri. She always amazes me with her adorable card projects. I am not a good card maker, but she always knocks it out of the park with a homerun. This card is an example. I wasn’t sure how I would embellish it and while I was still wondering, she had created it, photographed it and sent me pictures. Amazing! She shares her work at Bug Lover Cards

Our last returning friend is Mendi.  She amazed us at our last creative team call with her crazy good scrapbooking skills and attention to detail. She always goes above and beyond with each of her projects. Case in point, check out the sun rays on her layout. She made the entire SVG piece into small sections so she could cut each ‘ray’ from a different paper. She has a tutorial on her blog Snippets of Mendi that you can check out for more info.

My scrapbooking Pinterest folder is growing thanks to Mendi and all of these ladies. How about you? Do you Pinterest? Look for Lori Whitlock folders by Lori and each of our designers. The projects in these folders are amazing thanks to all these great ladies.

And finally, are you ready? DRUM ROLL PLEASE! Let me introduce you to the newest members of our paper team.

Brigit impressed us with her photography skills and out of the box thinking with her projects.  I adore this little step card she created using SVG shapes as well as printed pieces from Lori’s Sweet Girl Collection. She shares her skills on her blog Brigit Scaps. We are so excited to have her and her talents on our team.

And finally, our last team member is Traci. She earned the last spot on the team with her amazing mini books and photography. We loved that she is able to combine so many shapes and patterns into one project. She shares her creativity at Artsy Albums and now also with us.

We are so excited to be working with these talented ladies. Please help us welcome them and our returning members to our team. Watch for their projects coming up. We have a surprise for tomorrow, so be sure to stop by.

Thanks for joining us… Lisa

I had a chance to play with the vinyl this week. I recently purchased new clear containers for my pantry. I needed some labels. So, I thought the vinyl would do the trick. I designed some Pantry Labels and you can download them for FREE right HERE through the Monday. Then you’ll find them at the Silhouette Online Store after that. There’s just something about a nice organized pantry that makes you feel good, huh?

There are tons of fun applications for vinyl. And, it’s really easy to use. Here are the steps I followed to cut these labels:

1. Load the vinyl on the roll with no cutting mat into your machine. Adjust the rollers to the right width if you have a cameo.
2. Set the blade to 2.
3. Open the Pantry Label art.
4. Set the media to Vinyl.
5. Cut.
6. Remove the unwanted vinyl from around the art. Leave the labels and words on the paper. Throw the rest away. Use a hook to “weed” the unwanted bits from between the letters.
7. Apply transfer material to the front of the art. Use a scraper to make sure it’s stuck good.
8. Cut the labels apart at this point.
9. Remove the paper backing and apply the vinyl art to the plastic surface on your canisters. Use the scraper again to make sure it’s nice and smooth.
Note: Silhouette make a scraper and a hook tool that make this easier, but you could use tweezers and a spatula or something if you don’t have those tools.

Have a great weekend and good luck on winning the Portrait!!

New in Shop at Jessica Sprague and Our New Digital Creative Team

This weekend at JessicaSprague Lori has an adorable new set of files. Throughout this weekend, you can grab these at 25% off the listed price.

This week Lori is launching Sweet Memories Elements, Sweet Memories Paper and the entire kit, the Sweet Memories Collection. These are so beautiful and a great way to add an eclectic vintage feel and design to your projects.

And finally, are you ready to meet our new digital creative team?

We had SO MANY applicants, it was so VERY hard to choose. Thank you, to ALL of you that applied. We were blown away by the amazing talent in our readers. I would have loved to add you all, but managing that would have been a full time job in itself and Lori needs my help in other ways too. PLEASE continue to share on her Facebook page as we love to see what you are creating and on occasion we are able to showcase our wonderful readers projects. Please tune in Monday for our Paper Creating Team.

First to introduce is the amazing and talented Kim Lund. She is the writer of Documented Life Now and so graciously is sharing her digital talents with us when she isn’t too busy being a mom or teaching an Autistic Preschool Class. In my book she has already earned angel status. I have an Autistic son and all of his teachers are truly angels in my life.

Her first creation, as a member of our team, is this adorable layout using the Sweet Memories Collection. So beautiful!

Her favorite layout using Lori’s products is this adorable Easter Project Life page.

Next, we would like to introduce the talented Haley Ney. She comes to us from Indiana where she works as an Ultrasound Tech and has a passion for photography, baking and digital scrapbooking. When she isn’t being showcased here, her projects can be seen at The Ney Life.

Her layout using the Sweet Memories Collection is so fresh and clean, makes me wish Spring was here now! Stunning Haley!

Her favorite project is this adorable Project Life layout using Lori’s Spring Celebrations Collection.

And finally, the third member of our digital creative team is the scrapbooking guru Chrissy Guido of New Jersey. I first ‘met’ Chrissy at Jessica Sprague, where she worked as a Creative Team member and made beautiful layouts with Lori’s products. Her blog, Scraponi Digi Pages houses all of her creative goodness.

I love the way she layered all of the borders and shapes on her layout. This is so beautiful!

Her favorite project is this Happy Birthday Layout using Lori’s Life Cards Birthday Girl Collection.

I find it funny/ironic that all 3 of them shared a Project Life style layout with us without knowing the others had picked the same style. I think many of us around here have been bitten by the Project Life bug.

Thank you again for all those who submitted and for these wonderful ladies that made projects with VERY little time. Lori and I (Lisa), are SO excited to have these talented ladies with us. Please leave them some love in the comments below and come back again Monday to meet our new Paper Creative Team.

Thanks for joining us, Lisa.
