Back to School Link Up

Hi everyone!  Corri here today with a new Link Up for you guys!  It’s hard to believe but school will be starting here in just a little more than a week.  I decided to have this Link Up party  be all about “Back to School”.

Here ‘s the project I made.

This Backpack Shaped Card is one of Lori’s cute new school themed A2 shaped cards.  I made the Pencil Shaped Box in coordinating paper.  This makes such a cute set.  It would be great for a teacher’s gift or your child on the first day of school.

Happy Thoughts Flip Frame by Tya

Hi  Lori Whitlock Fans- it’s Tya here to share with you a fun project featuring a few of Lori’s adorable quotes that she has designed. I adore the fonts and the way she lays out the sayings. I have a daughter who is headed to college soon and I thought I would make this for her as a little way to send her happy, positive, uplifting thoughts to start out her day! I had a lot of fun with this one 🙂

To start with I chose a few of my favorite quotes and layed them out on my Silhouette work space. The files come already colored or blank so you can choose your own colors. I decided to stick with the colors that are included in the file. Ungroup the quote and delete the other letters.

Next I grouped all the letters together and then I resized the quote to fit my frame ( the quotes are on a piece of 2.75 x 4.5  white cardstock, the quotes are then mounted on a 3.25 x 5 inch piece of  colored cardstock).

I used the print and cut feature to print out all my quotes and then mounted them on the cardstock. I then punched 2 holes in the top of the cardstock and used two books rings to put all the quotes on. I then added the quotes to a flip frame that I got from my local Michaels store. Tags… not just for gifts anymore!

Hi Everyone, it’s Kathy today with a fun, new way to use one of Lori’s files!  As soon as I saw the Gift Tag Set (here in the Silhouette Store) I thought that it would make a fun Mini Album!  The tags are the perfect size for smaller photos including those adorable Instax photos!  Take a peek at what I created….

 

I started by cutting the file for the box and tags and assembling them.  I then printed out some fun Instant pictures of my kitties.

(A little hint when choosing a patterned paper for your box… make sure that the print looks ok upside down!  Otherwise the back of your box will have the pattern going the wrong way!)

To decorate the front of my box, I used pieces from Lori’s Cat Belly Box (here in the Silhouette Store) to make my kitty faces… and added some stickers and alphas from the collection I used.  On to creating my “pages”… I simply added my pictures and some embellishments to each Tag, and gathered them all together with a ring and some ribbon!  It went together so quickly!

You could make a quick and easy mini using the Gift Tag Set  to showcase some vacation photos or maybe a little brag book for a new mom or grandparent!  It goes together very quickly and the results are so fun!  That’s it for me today, thanks for stopping by!
