Happy Monday! These 90 degree temps have me thinking of the best way to cool off and what a better way than popsicles!

I made 3 cards this week to cool off with.

First, I used the shaped card popsicle (SVG, Silhouette) I used some fun glitter paper on this card which I popped up with some dimensionals. I finished it off with the cute little You’re So Cool tag tied on with some bakers twine.

Next, I used the popsicle gift card holder (SVG, Silhouette). With the 4th of July coming up this week, I had to make it look like a Bomb Pop (aka Firecracker). I also popped the red, white and blue and added the You’re The Bomb tag with some bakers twine.

Lastly, I used the 3 popsicles (SVG, Silhouette) file but only used the one with the bite. I popped my pink paper to reveal the white ice cream filling and finished it off with the You Make Me Melt tag with some bakers twine.

Get Well Card Hippo Tutorial

Hello there!!!  Welcome to our Thursday tutorial! I have always loved the Get Well Card Hippo SVG file and I finally got a chance to made two! This little hippo is bound to make anyone feel better.

I added a few extra flowers to this card- the flowers are from past projects.
These are not included in this file. I also added a bit of extra matting (pieces not included in the file but I will show you how to make them) I like that extra pop the mats give! That has to come from being a card maker for years LOL!
I also cut an offset for the back of each card so I could easily write a get well message.
 Cut pieces for inserts 1 and 2(notice they are numbered)
Cut pieces for the frame/box of the bed.
I made a mat for each of the decorative pieces on the bed. To do that I put the pieces I wanted to make an offset for onto my design mat in Silhouette.
1. Highlight all the pieces.
2. Choose the star icon (this is the offset/inset button)
3. Choose Offset
4. Distance-enter  .050
5. Choose either sharp corner or rounded corner
6. Apply
After you  have done that pull the offset cut piece to the side to cut later with your accent color.
See below for location of the button. It’s highlighted in blue on the side and also bolded on the top menu-third from the end.

Everything glued and ready to go!
Glue the tabs of the bed frame to form the box. Add the 2 inserts inside, aligning the tabs with the top of the sides of the box. It’s important to fold the card flat each way to  make sure they are inserted and glued correctly. If not, the card may not fold all the way flat. Tah dah…you are done!
I always cut a few extra sentiments or small pieces because I tend to lose them…I don’t know how that happens! I have this container full of all my extra flowers, tags, etc that I can use later!
