This year, I’m making dough ornaments using cookie cutters and rubber stamps (embossing with the stamps). Then, the kids will color them in with markers. And I’m leaving a few for me to color in and paint, too, for a hostess gift or my boss. 🙂

I don’t have a great plan for last-minute gift ideas. I guess I was thinking about making sets of monogram cards for my non-paper-crafting friends or for school staff that I want to honor with something more personal than the marshmallow treats I’ll be making…rgauss at sbcglobal dot net.

I am making a calendar for my hubby this year. It’s a kit, but it’s a start. I’m hoping to make it an annual thing for him. His office is already full to the brim of pictures and he loved the calendar that I made him last year for Father’s Day so I figured, what better way to continue adding new photos to his office without taking up precious real estate than a calendar that gives him a new photo every month? I just finished it and put it under the tree last night! Gifts from the heart are definitely my favorite kinds of gifts!
Those are so cute! I think it’s always good to have a couple of boxes of chocolates, or a coffee shop gift card or even some tins of homemade cookies on hand for last minute gifts…those are always my go-to ones.

Gift certificates are my go-to these days! But, I love these bottle toppers – super cute ideas!
My last minute gifts usually consist of either handmade cards and tags and cookies. I make cards all year long so I almost always have a set to share and for the cookies I like to use biscotti. I prefer the individually wrapped cookies so that they stay fresh. Pair this with a few tea bags or homemade hot chocolate or even individual bags of good coffee and there you go! Oh, and last year I purchased 15 gift tins (on clearance) in various sizes at our local Walmart and saved them for this year. Gift giving made easy….
Thanks and I hope I’m not too late…!
