3D Flower Pot Bouquet

Hi there, friends! Today, I am sharing a tutorial for the 3D Flower Pot Bouquet Daisies (SVG, Silhouette). This flower bouquet would make a perfect hostess gift, birthday gift, or a sweet pick-me-up for a friend. I used the Stars and Stripes collection by Echo Park Paper Co for a patriotic theme.
To begin this project, I cut all the flower pieces first so that I could shape the flowers while my Cricut cut the remaining pieces. The flowers have five layers total. Two of the layers make the flower, and three for the centers. I used a stylus tool and a foam mat to shape my flowers. This process takes a little time, but it wasn’t complicated.

For the pot I folded all of the score lines into mountain folds, inked the edges, and glued the decorative panels in place. Two of the sides of the pot have two large tabs each. I added glue to one tab at time and made sure to line everything up with the edge of the pot. I repeated this process for all four corners.

I then glued into place the four grass panels to the inside of the pot, one on each side. For the inserts I folded all of the tabs into a valley fold and added glue to outside of the tab. I eyeballed this part but I tried to make a sure the number three insert was in the middle of the pot.  There is five inserts total, three for the flowers and two grass inserts. I inserts are numbered which makes gluing them in order easier.

With all the inserts glued into the pot I folded down the round heads for the flowers and leaves. I glued the leaves on first then glued the flowers on top of that.

I embellished my pot with a sticker from the collection and added enamel dots to the centers of all of the flowers.

This was a fun little project and would be cute in any theme. I think my next one is going to be back to school themed, since my kid goes back in three weeks!

4×6 Horizontal Tabbed Mini Album Tutorial

Hi friends! Traci here and today, I’m sharing a fun vacation mini album I made with Lori’s cutting file called 4×6 Horizontal Pocket Mini Album Tabbed Pages (SVG, Silhouette). It’s filled with pretty shaped pocket pages and tabbed cards that are perfect for saving your favorite memories. I added pictures of our trip to Hawaii and it made the cutest little keepsake! 🌴🦩🌞

 

I decorated the album with the Doodlebug Design, Fun in the Sun Collection, but … this file could be made with ANY theme for photos of a holiday, family, friends,
new baby, school, your pet, or a season. It’s 4×6 inches and has a flap that folds over onto the front cover to keep the pages secure.  

 

Above, you can see there are 6 pocket pages with a tabbed card / photo mat tucked inside each one. Let’s take a quick look inside, then I’ll share the tutorial …

 


The front of the pockets have a cute cut-out shape and plenty of space for embellishments. And inside, the tabbed card can hold 2 photos (front and back) or be used for journaling.

 

The back side of the pocket pages are blank so I added more photo mats and cute tropical embellies!

Now, for the tutorial …

1.  I cut out all of the pieces, including 6 pages, the covers, 6 tabbed photos mats, pattern paper for the pockets and a binding piece.    

 

2.  I adhered the patterns to the front of each pocket, and the covers,  before gluing everything together.  

3. To create the pockets, I fold the right and left tabs inward and glued them against the back, leaving the tab on the left free. 
4. To assemble the front cover, I adhered the remaining tab on the first pocket just to the left of the score line on the cover piece.  This score line will eventually be the album’s binding.   
5. Next I continued to adhered each of the pocket’s tabs to the back of the page in front of it.


6. The pockets created a stack of pages to the left of the spine.  At this point, I also adhered the back cover piece to the tab on the front cover.  


7.  To adhere the last pocket to the back cover, I used the binding piece that comes in the cut file to adhere them together.

 

Once I finished assembling the album, I decorated it and added my photos.

Here is a tutorial for you today!
Here are some of the working parts glued together and ready to go.
This is the base piece. I creased all the fold lines.
You will add glue to the center of each section and then fold the piece upon itself, matching the two glued parts together.
This is what it will look like from the side.
This is what it will look from the top. There are 3 slots with the largest in the center.
You can insert the pieces numbered 1, 2 and 3 in order to get an idea of what this card will look like but you will need to take out #2 an #3 while dealing with #1-it’s just easier.
Glue the tab of #1 and glue it so it stands straight when folding the base upright.
Fold the first base section, being careful to make sure when you fold it flat, that it will flatten fully.
Here it is flattened. 
 
Insert #2 into the other side base section and glue it flat onto the  inside center piece.
Here I am inserting #3 piece. When you fold the second side up make sure your #3 piece is glued up straight and then glue the main side flap together, forming an open square on each side
It looks like this when you set it up. Take note of the little tabs on the bottom of each side.
Add glue to the front and back of each base piece. Here, you will align the long piece,  making sure to line up with the bottom of the box and going over  each little side tab. The tab on the long piece should secure in the back by adding glue to the last tab. Assure your card will easily flatten. As you stand the card up and push down on the outside frame, it will lock  those little side tabs sticking out into the outside frame.
Here you can see what the bottom looks like. Very neat and finished.
Side view. To re-flatten just push on the  inside and that will pop out the secured tabs. 
All finished! I just adore the little bluebird Lori added to the file!

5 x 7 Flower Truck Box Card Tutorial

Today I have  a tutorial for you on assembling this cute 5 x 7 Flower Truck box card.

Let’s start.

Truck Body: Glue on the tires and the front door pieces. I used mirror silver paper for the front bumper and a different matte silver paper for the windows on the front truck piece.  The longer truck piece is the back of the truck. Glue the rectangle piece-this will be the reinforcement piece for the top awning later. 

 
Awning: This awning piece will be glued onto the truck front piece. A little trick to keep the 3 squares centered is to add the thin rectangle into each spot and then glue the back of each square only and insert it and then pick out the thin square piece. You can throw that piece away if you want. 

 
Inserts: Glue up all your little potted flowers. As always, I  cut extra little pieces because no matter what-I always lose some. You can also cut different colors to change things up if you want. Each insert piece is numbered so you know which one goes  in front. FYI it’s the four potted flowers in front. You can see the numbers on the bottom right corner of each insert.
Glue the two end tabs of this piece and add the main front truck piece. Make sure your card folds flat.
Line up the awning piece and glue to the front truck piece and also add the brown panel at the back of the truck.
Here is the truck after those steps. All that is left is to add the flower pot inserts  as you do with any box card, awning support and the sentiment. 

Here you go! The inserts are added (at this point make sure your box card will fold flat). You can see I am getting ready to add the rectangle piece inside the awning   for  support. Glue the rectangle inside to the front and back top awning. All I have to do now is add my print and cut sentiment and it’s done! TIP: if you buy the bundle, print and cut all three sentiments at once and then you will be ready to assemble the other trucks!

Mason Jar Box

Hello! I love when my 2 worlds collide, canning and scrapbooking. I recently canned some green stuff (jalapeno mustard for pretzels) and I always love to be able to gift it and make it look cute. I recently came across these Mason Jar Box Half Pint (SVG, Silhouette). I decided to make a few of these for my yummy green stuff.

First I cut all my pieces and I did add a little piece of acetate behind the window.

I added my pattern paper to the box after I added the acetate to the inside of the window. I added score tape to the 2 flaps to assemble the box.

I folded in the 2nd large flap 1st.

The I folded in my 2 smaller flaps to make the box complete.

I then added my pattern paper to the lid portion. Make sure the curved side of the thin strips faces the outside edge. I also added score tape to the corner flaps.
