Baby Girl Dress Card Tutorial

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this adorable Baby Girl Dress card (SVGSilhouette).

I wanted to enlarge the card so I enlarged all my pieces at the same time by dragging the curser until the base of the dress card was large enough & fit inside the cutting perimeter. This will give me a card that will fit into a 6×6 envelope.
I wanted to have a strawberry theme so I took some elements from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Basket with Strawberry file (SVGSilhouette). To get a visual I dragged them onto my dress. I kept the strawberry & flower the original size then reduced the vine to fit.
I also reduced 1 more flower & cut it twice to create the buttons.
I like to make an insert for my cards. I find this also helps to keep my card a little sturdier considering there are more layers on the front. To do this I created an internal offset distance of  0.125 applying the sharp corner.
I then cut out all of my pieces & glued all my panels into place.
This card was so easy & fast to put together! Even with the extra strawberry elements.
I hope you liked my card today.

✨NEW Mini Albums! 25% OFF✨

Happy Wednesday! Did you catch the release of our fantastic new hidden binding mini albums yesterday? We’ve introduced six fresh SVG designs in the Hidden Binding Mini Album Bundle 3. Each design is a blank canvas, just waiting for your creative touch.

Our first two bundles of hidden binding mini albums were a big hit, and we’ve received numerous requests for new shapes. Many of the designs in this bundle were inspired by your suggestions, so I’m excited to see what you create with them! Some of the school themed shapes would make a great project for a teacher. You could adhere gift cards to each page or add photos throughout the year to create a scrapbook. The rectangle could be created to look like a passport and turned into a little travel journal or scrapbook. The possibilities with all these new shapes.

And here’s some great news: all new releases are 25% OFF until Sunday at midnight! Don’t miss out—take a look and get inspired!

Hello!  It’s my turn again for a tutorial on the Lori Whitlock blog.

I am getting into the school spirit! I can’t believe school is right around the corner!

Box Card School Bus 2

(Lori’s Shop SVGSilhouette Store #417577)

Insert pieces with the print and cut sentiment.

Insert pieces assembled.  You will glue the yellow side tabs into the  assembled box card, aligning the top of the tabs to the top of the box. My favorite piece was the notebook with the spiral binding. I think it has the “bestest” details!  I found it easier to leave the little silver pieces stuck on the mat and assemble them to the notebook right off the cutting mat. No lost little pieces!

I did cut three of the other pieces out of white cardstock and colored them with copics while they were still stuck on the mat. (pencil tip, eraser and the leaf).

The Box Pieces

Add glue to the tab on the right of the long yellow piece to form the box body. Align and glue the sides of the bus to each side of the box base.

Everything is ready to glue together. Glue the tires on the very last.

Having two daughters that are school teachers, I decided to make them each a school themed card for the new school year that begins soon. This is the first one!

Here  you can see the insert glued in.

Thanks for coming along on this little bus ride!
