Sliding Shadow Box Card Birthday Bear Tutorial

Hello, today it’s my turn to post a tutorial on the Lori Whitlock blog!
We have some birthdays coming up after this summer vacation, so I got into birthday card making!
I decided to make this super adorable “Sliding Shadow Box Card Birthday Bear
It might look a bit difficult to put together, but it’s pretty easy to make!
Soooo here we go!
1.  put some cute design paper on the 2 panels that you see on this picture.
I used some cute Doodlebug Design paper for this project.

2. on this frame part I used a green frame onto of the pink frame piece.
3. This are the 3 white layers inside of the card that we need to complete with a bear and balloons.
4. the first layer is the bear.
5. I used some distress ink on de border of the bear.

6. this is how the first layer looks after you finish it.
7. Layer 2 finished
8. Now we glue the 2 sides with the Doodlebug Designs design paper on both sides of the square part.

9. Time to slide the part you see on the picture (above) under the 2  side parts you see on the picture beneath.

10. This is how your project should be after sliding them in.

11. Time to put the layers inside of the card.

3 x 3 Pop-Up Dinosaur Card

Happy Monday! I’m sharing a cute pop-up card today.  These pop-up cards are in the shop listed for Valentine’s Day but I thought they would also make cute lunch box notes.  They are such a fun small size with a place to tuck in the front of the card. (Silhouette Store)

You could also use these for birthday or just for fun.

Have a great day!

Baby Girl Dress Card Tutorial

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this adorable Baby Girl Dress card (SVGSilhouette).

I wanted to enlarge the card so I enlarged all my pieces at the same time by dragging the curser until the base of the dress card was large enough & fit inside the cutting perimeter. This will give me a card that will fit into a 6×6 envelope.
I wanted to have a strawberry theme so I took some elements from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Basket with Strawberry file (SVGSilhouette). To get a visual I dragged them onto my dress. I kept the strawberry & flower the original size then reduced the vine to fit.
I also reduced 1 more flower & cut it twice to create the buttons.
I like to make an insert for my cards. I find this also helps to keep my card a little sturdier considering there are more layers on the front. To do this I created an internal offset distance of  0.125 applying the sharp corner.
I then cut out all of my pieces & glued all my panels into place.
This card was so easy & fast to put together! Even with the extra strawberry elements.
I hope you liked my card today.

Hexagon Pop Up Card Palm Tree

Hi there friends and Happy Monday! Today I am sharing one of the new Hexagon Pop Up cards (SVG). I love the summer vibe this group has, and I was drawn to the palm trees and flamingo card (SVG, Silhouette). These files also come with several print and cut sentiments too add to the front of the card. I love a multi-use card! I used papers and stickers from Lori’s Endless Summer collection by Echo Park Paper Co.
