Box Card Rainbow with Unicorn Tutorial

Hello Crafty friends, today I want to share how I made this cute Rainbow Unicorn Box Card with you!

For my card I chose the Box Card Rainbow (SVGSilhouette). The Rainbow card is cute on its own, but I wanted to add a little touch of magic to my card, so I have also added the Unicorn from the Unicorn Card (SVGSilhouette).
To start I opened both files on separate pages in Silhouette. I then copied & pasted my unicorn to the page with the Box Card Rainbow. From here I was able to resize the Unicorn to fit with my Rainbow as the original was a lot larger.
I wanted this to be a Birthday card, so I swapped out the sentiment by typing a new one using the Samantha Craft font then I print & cut.
To start I glued the little black piece to the back of Unicorn shape that has the holes cut for the eye & nostril. Then I added more glue & pasted this on top of the solid Unicorn shape.
After cutting all my pieces I glued the coloured panels onto my white corresponding pieces.
I then folded the tabs on my Rainbow shapes. The back & middle pieces I folded to the front. The small one at the front I folded to the back. Next I glued them all into place one at a time starting from the back, by first doing one side then gently folding the card flat as I go to make sure it placed evenly before I glued the tab on the other side.
Then I added some foam squares to the back of the Unicorn & front Rainbow/Cloud & Cloud pieces to get some dimension on the card.
Lastly I adhered the cloud pieces & my Unicorn onto the card & finished off with some Star & Heart enamel stickers to embellish.
The box card folds flat to fit into 5×7 envelope!

I love how this turned out!
Thanks for stopping by!

Airplane Slider Card

Hey there everyone! Hope you are all having a great week. I wanted to share this fun airplane slider card (SVG, Silhouette) with you. Again with this great A Magical Voyage paper line. With my bonus son going to school to be a pilot, I had to use this line for some fun things for him.

I have all my cut pieces laid out, except the airplane. This is a print and cut file but the chipboard plane that comes with the Magical Voyage line was too perfect.

Scored everything that needed to be scored.

Then I worked on the slider portion. It cuts in 2 pieces, you glue the 2 together for stability. Fold the tabs over on the end and pop them through the slits on your base.

Attach the little bar to your adhesive on the tabs that you have poked through the slits in the base.
The backside will look like this.

I took my circle that says “pull” and added adhesive and folded it over the end of the slider strip.

I have to pop everything with dimentionals so I added a few of those to the back of the base piece and placed it on the cardstock base.

I added my clouds and sentiment and the chipboard plane to the little bar we created on the slider bar and ended up with this adorable slider card.
The plane “flies” across the card when the strip is pulled.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Special Delivery Baby Girl Cards

Hi everyone….just stopping by to share 3 cards I created with Lori’s new Echo Park Collection, Special Delivery Baby Girl.  The sweetest collection of perfect patterns and colors, along with the most adorable embellishments.  There is also a Special Delivery Baby Boy collection and a Special Delivery Baby collection that is the perfect neutral collection.  These collections are just amazing and I enjoyed creating all kinds of cute Lori SVG files with it.  I have one more project in the works with it and I will share it with you soon.

My first card is the Elephant Rectangle Pop up Card here in Lori’s Shop or here in The Silhouette Design Store.  Super easy to do and it will fold flat for mailing!  I add a few stickers and ribbon.  Isn’t she the cutest little elephant?
Second, Lori’s Theme Park Birthday Card or here in The Silhouette Design Store,  I just changed up the colors and created a simple, easy baby girl card.  So many precious embellishments for this collection.
And last, and older file but it’s one of my favorites to create with, Banner Card in Lori’s Shop or
here in The Silhouette Design Store.  Love this card and I use it all the time!

I hope I inspired you to create some baby projects.  Thanks for joining us today!

Box Card Birdhouse Flowers Tutorial

Hi there friends! Has Spring sprung where you live yet? It has where I live and I’m ready for it. I have loved all the springtime files that are showing up in Loris’s shop and knew I needed to make one. Today I am sharing an assembly tutorial for the Box Card Birdhouse Flowers (SVGSilhouette).

This card is darling as is, but I needed to put a little spin on it with bees. I used the Bee Happy collection by Echo Park Paper Co. I also resized everything to be a little bigger.

I first glued all of the flowers together. All of the flowers have two layers and a center. I swapped out the paper centers for enamel dots. I then glued all of the flowers onto the green inserts. The middle insert has most of the flowers while the back insert has two flowers. For the first insert I trimmed off the bird and glued on the bee sticker.

Next, I glued on the decor for the birdhouse. (I forgot to take a proper picture) There are two sets of two roof pieces, two rounds for the doorway and a smaller round for decoration. There are also two base pieces for the bottom of the birdhouse and one for a perch. One of the completed roofs and bottom pieces are for the back. The base of the of the box card comes in two pieces that needs to be glued together. Line up the edge of large tab with the side of the house. With the front of the house facing down, I glued the inserts in. Be sure to have the right side of the insert facing you. All of the tabs are valley folds. I added glue to back of the right tab then lined the tab up with the straight edge of the front of the house and the top of the side of the box base. Then lined up the next two inserts up next to the back of the insert in front and the top of the side of the box card. I then carefully folded the inserts over making sure not to bend the leaves of the flowers so that the wrong sides of the inserts are facing up.

I had to trim the edges of the left tabs because they were overlapping the tab in front of it a little bit. Then I added glue to all of them and folded the base of the box card over making sure all the small tab lined up correctly. I then added glue to the large tab on the base and folded the back of the card over holding in place until the glue set.

I then added a bee sticker to the front on the card and tucked one into the back flowers.

I really like how this one turned out. I hope you all have a happy spring and thanks for being here.
