Graduation

Happy Monday! I’ve been in Texas this week visiting my parents and my brother’s family. I’ll be home tomorrow. About 3 weeks ago I got sick with some sort of cold virus that has been the nastiest bug I’ve ever had. It’s taken 3 weeks for it to clear up and for me to feel fairly “normal” again. My girls have also been off track. So, needless to say, I’m ready to get back to my exercise and work routine and get the kids back in school.
This has been a fabulous few days in Texas giving me time to relax, spend time with my family, go shopping, eat out, visit and just enjoy life for a few days. I think being sick makes me realize how thankful I am for my blessings and my health. I’m supposed to run the Wasatch Back RAGNAR race in just 6 weeks. I’ve got to get back in shape and ready for that race, too!
Today I have a darling project by Design Team Member, Corri. She’s used my Echo Park “This & That” Collection along with my graduation cap cutting file and my matchbook cutting file. I love how these projects have turned out so masculine and perfect for giving to a graduating boy.
Here’s what Corri has to say:
“I used the Match Book card file along with Lori’s Graduation cap and gift bag.  The matchbook card opens open with a little pocket to hold a gift card or other small treat inside.  I also used some sticers from the paper collection to dress up my gift bag.  Our nephew graduates from high school next month and this will be perfect for his cash and a small little gift.”
You can go visit Corri’s post HERE.
Have a lovely day! ~Lori

Strawberries, Life Cards, & a SALE!

Good morning! I hope everyone is ready for a super fun weekend! At my house, both of my daughters have had birthdays this week. Needless to say, I’ve been busy shopping and planning a party that is this afternoon. So, as we mentioned yesterday we want to share the LOVE with all our readers so we’re having a birthday bash SALE through the end of the month. You’ll get 25% OFF your entire order. Simply enter BDAY25 at checkout to receive the discount.

I have two super awesome projects created by the the Creative Team members to share with you. I think these projects will get us in the spring mood. I know I’m ready!

First, I have a darling candy box created by Creative Team Member, Joy to share with you today! She made the Strawberry Box and showcased them in the 4 piece candy box, how clever!

Here’s what Joy has to say:

“Ever since I was eight years old I’ve had a strawberry themed birthday. My Mom started the theme and my best friend/husband still keeps the tradition going. He makes me a strawberry cake with strawberry icing, buys strawberry ice cream and creates a strawberry drink for me every year.  I’ll be enjoying those things this very day since it’s my b’day!  Woo hoo!”

Happy Birthday Joy, thanks for sharing the day and your awesome project with us! Yet another reason to have our little birthday sale this week!

Check out her blog for more detailed instructions.

The second project to share with you is this amazing drawer by Krissy.  She used the 4×6 Life Cards, Doily Banner, Enjoy Life Phrase, Love Phrase and So Happy Together Phrase.

Krissy used the life cards and put them in an old tray that she found for a dollar (she added drawer pulls on the bottom to make feet and decorated the tray with Lori’s “This & That Graceful and Charming” Echo Park collections)

Check out all those GREAT cards!!

You can see Krissy’s post with more details HERE.  Great job ladies!!!!  We love to see your work! Everyone feel free to let these ladies know how awesome their projects are by leaving your comments below.

And, now for a view of This & That Graceful. This is the “sister” set to the This & That Collection that I recently designed for Echo Park. It just released this week at CHA in Anaheim. Yesterday you saw Charming.  While Charming offers natural earthy elements, Graceful provides sweet florals and damasks. Mix and match them if desired to make your projects a little of this and a little of that!
