Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet the darling and super creative Carolyn King. Here’s a photo of us at CHA at the Echo Park Booth. Today I’m excited to share with you her creative talents.
She used the Valentine Box to create a great home organization and teaching tool for her daughter. The box provides a home for her reading flashcards that she needs to practice everyday.
Here’s what Carolyn has to say about her project:
“The original use of this box is for a Valentine’s box. You can see the graphic of it HERE. It is a super cute holder for all those Valentine’s the kids will be getting next week. I thought it would be fun to take the same exact file and show you another way to use it so that you can see that it isn’t JUSTfor Valentine’s Day!
So, I used the same file (but shrunk it down a bit using my Silhouette Studio Software) and made a flash card box for my 6 year old. She gets new sight words to study every few weeks and I thought this would be a cute way for her to store the index cards. It makes it easy for her to grab the box and study by herself too.”
I think this is a fantastic idea Carolyn!! Thanks for sharing!! For more photos and instructions check out Carolyn’s
blog.
