New Shapes

Lori had the most fun, beautiful shapes ready to go today when I got to work. I have been on vacation enjoying the summer and when I came back she had all these fun icons ready for me. It was fun to have another fun mini vacation as I got these ready today. Take some time out of your busy life and enjoy the summer fun a bit and don’t forget to take pictures so you can use these fun shapes for scrapbooking, card making or paper crafting. I’ve created several new files this week that are available at both the Silhouette Online Store and in my SVG SHOP. I’ve created some really cute cards with a “frame” theme. First, there’s the Double Gatefold Cards that create a shaped window when closed. Use a stamped sentiment, flower, or graphic to customize these cards for many occasions. Next are the adorable gift card boxes! These boxes feature a “shelf” inside with slits diecut to hold a gift card. There are lids in several themes along with some all occasion styles. I also designed some Nesting Window Cards that are absolutely adorable when cut. These feature 4 flaps that when folded in the correct order create a nested window shape in the center. Again, you can use stamps, flowers, and graphics to customize these cute cards. And, I also created an envelope that these fit into perfectly. Oh, and don’t miss that SUPER CUTE Party Purse. It’s a perfect size for housing party favors and embellishing for any occasion. YOU CAN VIEW THEM ALL HERE. And they best part is…

Grand Opening!!

Yesterday I mentioned some exciting news about my online shop… I meant to get this post completed earlier today, but it’s been one of those days… I know you know what I mean ; ) So without further delay….

Over the last 10 months I’ve been selling my SVG shapes here on my blog through WordPress. Shortly after I started doing this I discovered a flaw in the software that makes the file delivery a little rough for some customers. Some people have been unable to unzip files or they receive warnings that won’t allow them to download the file, etc. So, I’ve been working for a few months (in all my spare time) to put together a new SVG SHOP with more functionality and most of all RELIABLE delivery to YOU, the customer. I want HAPPY customers!

So, TODAY (drum roll please) the NEW SHOP is now ready to unveil!! I think you’ll be pleased with the features this shop incorporates. You’ll now be able to create a wish list, view your order history and access your downloads at any time.

Lisa and I have loaded many of my current SVG shapes, and will continue to upload more shapes. So, please be patient as we continue to fill the shop. If there’s a shape you’d like to have loaded sooner than later… please email me at info@loriwhitlock.com and we’ll get it on the “to do” list right away. Also, since the shop is new… please email me with any order problems.

Happy Fathers Day

I am so excited to share with you Joy’s project. Are you still looking for the perfect Father’s Day gifts for the men in your life? Joy has a great idea for you. She used Lori’s shaker box file and Echo Park’s Charming paper to create this perfect gift. I want to create one for my husband as well, gift card and all as he and my dad are in the process of building sheds, one at my house and one at my parents.  Joy has provided wonderful instructions on her blog to help you create it just like her’s. 

And finally, what a great way to showcase him on his special day with this ribbon. You can find it on her blog here.  She used Lori’s award ribbon and gears cutting file to create this badge of honor. She also used stamps that she created for the sayings.  Great Job Joy! I always love to see what you ladies come up with.

New Shapes at the Silhouette Store

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! On Friday I’m running in the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay race. It’s a 180 mile race from Logan, UT to Park City, UT across the mountain range. My hubby and I on a couples team with 6 couples (12 people). We each run 3 legs of the race. It will be a fun challenge and you can’t beat the scenery.  I’ve been training and REALLY hope I’m ready. Let’s hope for a cloudy day on Friday so I don’t die of heat stroke : ) Wish me luck. I’ll let you know if I survive!
