April Link Up with Cathy

Welcome to the blog today! First off, I wanted to announce the winner of last month’s Link Up Party. Laurie Black, you just won the $15 gift voucher to my SVG shop. We have a fun new link up going on today, so I’ll turn the time over to CT member, Cathy, to get that started…

Hi everybody! It’s Cathy hosting this month’s Link Up Party!  We can’t wait to see what you create with Lori’s files from her SVG shop or from the Silhouette Design Store!  To be eligible to win you must use one of Lori’s files!  I am loving Lori’s new Echo Park Jack and Jill collections and I created all three of my shaped cards with the Jill collection.  So for this month’s link up all you have to do is create a project with the Jill collection or any of Lori’s shaped cards, and there are tons to choose from!

I had so much fun with these cards.  I hope you will try making a shaped card, they are so much fun to give and receive!

My first card is a Flower Shaped Card!  So fun with all of the great patterns and colors in the EP Jill collection!  I added gorgeous brad and a sticker from the collection too!

Next up, an adorable A2 bird card!  Love that I could add a chipboard sentiment tucked under is wing from the EP Jill Collection!

And last just a fun slider card, that little pinwheel actually slides right across.  That should make anyone’s day a little brighter.

 It’s  Lori’s Pinwheel Penny Slider Card!  Again, a gorgeous brad and some stickers from the EP Jill Collection!

In honor of Lori’s brand new Echo Park Paper Line, Jack & Jill,  I thought it might be fun to focus on “Jack” or “a masculine theme” this time.  Lori has so many great designs for boys, dads, brothers, etc.  Create a fun project using any of Lori’s designs to create a masculine or boy-themed project.   Here is a fun card I created for this challenge using Lori’s Baby Boy Overall Card and the new paper collection Lori designed for Echo Park.  I also used Lori’s frog favor box to cut the little frog’s head out 🙂

Link Up with Corri – Love

Hi everyone!  Corri here today with a fun new Link Up Party!  I’ve chosen “Love” as our theme this time.  My projects are for Valentine’s Day but you could link up a wedding themed project, an anniversary card or a layout about something or someone you love.    Just make sure to use one of Lori’s files on your project.

Here’s what I made…

I used paper from the Echo Park – Lucky in Love Collection for my projects.    I love the addition of the teal on this pattern paper.

This adorable Heart Cracker box would make a perfect gift.  Just filled with some candy and it’s ready to go.

 

And who wouldn’t love this pretty Heart Pocket? You can tuck a couple of mini candy bars inside and a note.  I reduced the file to 75% and it’s still a nice size.  These would also be great for class room treats.  You could reduce them and fit four to a sheet of 12 x 12 paper.

Riley Blake Blog Tour + Giveaway!

Welcome to my blog! I’m so glad you stopped by for the Riley Blake Blog Tour. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Lori Whitlock. I’ve been designing for Riley Blake for 3+ years and for the crafting industry for 10+ years. What an amazing opportunity it’s been to work with Riley Blake and see my designs come to life in fabric.  It’s truly been a dream come true for me. I have always been a creative spirit and it’s been such a blessing to be able to turn that creativity into my career.

In addition to fabric, I also design scrapbook paper and accessories, Sizzix dies, stamps, and digital cutting files. So, you’ll often find coordinating designs in other mediums to go along with my fabric collections.
