Tiered Bracket Mini Album

Hello friends! We’re into the Christmas season so, I thought it would be fun to make a holiday mini album using one of Lori Whitlock’s amazing cutting files called Tiered Album Bracket (SVG, Silhouette). It‘s perfect for your favorite photos from the season, and … it would make a sweet gift idea for someone special.

I love making shaped mini albums and Lori has lots of great cutting files with unique silhouettes to choose from. This one caught my eye with its pretty waterfall pages. To decorate it, I chose Doodlebug’s Gingerbread Kisses Collection.

Now, on to how I made it …

First, the cutting file comes with the base pages and the inset pieces for cutting pattern paper.  One tip when cutting out the patterns … be sure to position your pattern on the cutting mat so that it will be cut in the direction you want!

I love how the patterns cut perfectly sized to allow a nice 1/8″ border of white (or whatever color base you choose).
I decorated my pages with card stock mats and embellishments and love how the waterfall design let’s some of the fun elements peek through!
The pink page above is an example of what I meant about cutting the correct direction for your paper.  Since I wanted my pink hearts to be right side up, I flipped my cutting file design in the software to “flip vertically”.  You could also just place your paper upside down on your mat 🙂
Lori has several fun waterfall (tiered) album designs in her shop … curved, flag, pennant, pinking, rounded, tabs, scallop, ticket, and wave shapes!  I love them all!

I hope you’ve been inspired to try one of Lori’s tiered albums!  They would make a cute gift for Christmas, and a fun way to display your holiday (or any day) memories!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

NEW SVG files + FREEBIE!

All New Release SVG Files are 25% OFF this week!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Every year I design a NEW Christmas Village. This year I designed 5 new buildings as part of a Christmas Village Bundle. They are super cute and make the most adorable mantle decor. They are not too thick so they line up beautifully on a shelf or mantle. They are so beautiful when lit up with tea lights or fairly lights. I am releasing an assembly video later today so you can see what I used to light them up. There will be links to the products in the video description and on the listings in my SVG shop. I also designed a new Christmas Village Lantern that is really cute, too. An assembly tutorial video is coming today for that one as well.

You’ll also see some new SVG files in the shop this week from Jillibean, Pebbles, Quietfire, and Dresden. All new releases are ON SALE 25% OFF through Sunday at midnight in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop. Take a peek at a FEW of the new releases (be sure to visit the link below to see them ALL)…

Lighted Shadowbox Decor Turkey

This is a fun week for celebrating Thanksgiving. What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? We love doing something active early in the day. This year will be pickleball. I also like Black Friday shopping, but it has changed over the years.  I ordered my first Silhouette Cameo on a Black Friday sale several years ago.

I’m sharing a Turkey project to add to our Thanksgiving decor. These shadowbox projects are so fun. Check out all the holiday themed boxes.

Recipe Pocket Flip Frame Tutorial

I have such a fun holiday tutorial for you today.  This little gift idea goes together in no time.  To start you need a 4×6 photo frame like this.  I got this one at At Home.

Next, I cut 6 Library Pockets (SVG, Silhouette) from Lori’s Have A Holly Jolly Christmas.  All different patterns.  It’s such a fun collection.  And it’s the perfect collection for Christmas recipes!
Next, fold on score lines and adhere to create your pockets.  I did not cut any of the inserts because there are inserts in the collection to use.
Once you have all your pockets put together, get a couple of book rings and your hole punch.
I measured 1.25 inch from each side and .25 inch from the top.  Put all your pockets on the rings and hook on to your frame.
I added these 4×6 cards from the collections for my inserts and on the back I added recipe cards.
Then I just added embellishments and some sewing.  I love how this turned out, it’s a fun little holiday gift!
