Thanks ladies, your projects are beautiful!

So Easy

Anyone that knows me, knows that hand making cards is just NOT my thing. They end up as clutter and turn into trash after I spent way too much time on them, so you can imagine my hesitance at making any of Lori’s amazing cards. Don’t get me wrong, they are BEAUTIFUL and inspire me as I upload them into the shop. And this week that desire to play with them over ran my clutter theory, and boy am I glad. These cards were so easy and fast! I think it took more time glueing pieces together than it did cutting everything, and it didn’t take that long to glue them.

I used a few of Lori’s files for these cards as well as her “Note to Self” collection from Echo Park. The “Birthday Button Set” inspired this round of cards. Originally it was just going to be one card, but I had left overs and some other patterns I was dying to try. I also used  “Card Base and Envelope Set 2” for the Birthday card. These are AMAZING. If you have not tried any of them head over to the shop and grab one, or two, or three ;). They cut out so fast and beautiful. For the star card I used Lori’s “Belly Band Cards.” I can’t say enough about how quick and easy these were. I definitely see card making in my future thanks to Lori. Glad she has lots to choose from. There is a bit more info on my blog if you need it… happy card making, Lisa

Back to School is just around the corner

Look what Corri has created for us today. She made the cards out of one of Lori’s shapes welded together, SMART!  Corri says… ”

I cut Lori’s  3″ x 3″ stationary box from this adorable apple paper from DCWV – Grade School Stack. I increased the size of the box so that it filled the 12″ x 12″ mat.  I embellished it with this 3d bow.
For my little note cards, I welded two scalloped squares from this set.
The little apples are from Lori’s Patriotic set.” Great job Corri, check out her blog for more details.
Thanks Corri for this adorable teacher gift idea!

A Special Giveaway

About a month ago I was contacted by Lori Gentile about a new kit club she’s starting. She wanted me to contribute to her monthly kits. I thought it sounded interesting and decided to join in the fun. The site launched TODAY. And, it’s so cute! You need to go check it out.

Gossamer Blue is a new monthly kit club dedicated to inspiring and motivating memory keepers and crafters alike. Each main kit is well coordinated with a mix of products from multiple manufacturers. The best part? Each main kit features a set of Lori Whitlock digital designs. The digital file contains both SVG (for use with electronic die cutting machines) and PNG files custom colored to match the kit (for use in Photoshop and/or Word). The designs are current, stylish and practical and can be used over and over, again.

This is the first month’s kit. Isn’t it CUTE!

Here’s a layout created by Cindy Liebel using the new kit. You’ll notice that she used a special edition of my “7 Tabs” cutting file found HERE. Great layout Cindy!
