Tiered Scallop Album

Hi friends! Traci here and today I’m sharing a cute new mini album filled with a colorful farm theme. I used one of Lori’s amazing cutting files called Tiered Album Scallop (SVGSilhouette) and I love the layered waterfall pages. Lori has so many of these files with different edges and they’re all so fun!

To make this, I cut the 5 pages out of white cardstock but, you could use any color or pattern paper you like. Then I decorated each of the pages with the Doodlebug Design, Down on the Farm Collection.

I covered the white pages in colorful prints that I cut slightly smaller than the base. To do this, I created an inset for the pattern paper. Layering the papers like this makes the pages super sturdy.

Next, I added cute embellishments and some fun interactive elements like this little folding card (aka the “flippie”). What an easy and fun way to double your photo space!

I also added a handy dandy little pocket. I fussy cut this one out of pattern paper but you could make a simple square one out of cardstock. These are great for saving journaling cards, extra photos, or small memorabilia.

This Tiered Scallop Mini Album can be made with ANY theme or paper collection and it would make such a great gift idea. Oh! … and be sure to check out Lori’s other tiered mini album shapes, like … the bracket, curved, flag, tabs, rounded, pennant, pinking, rounded, waves, and ticket in her shop.

I hope this farm themed scrapbook inspires you. Have a crafty day!

Tuck Gift Card Box Tutorial

Hello and welcome to Tutorial Thursday.  I’m sharing today this great gift card box.

Tuck Gift Card Box

SVG/Silhouette

This box is fun to put together.

Here are the pieces: one box piece, 6 panel pieces, 1 gift card holder piece. For my box, I used patterned paper for all the panels.  The file includes flowers if you want to use the flowers to embellish the top.

After cutting all the pieces, you adhere all the panels to the outside of the box.

Fold along all the crease lines, ensuring the longer skinny arms are inside the box.

Fold the gift card holder piece, so the tabs are going down.

Insert the gift card holder into the middle, and attach the side arms in the notches.

Finally tuck the top flap together.

Add a gift card, and your box is ready to share.

Thanks for stopping by!

However, if you have a wooden frame or something else that you would like to use, you can resize the insert layers as desired.  And, don’t forget: ALL new releases are 25% OFF until Sunday at midnight!
